What better way to force pve players into trials then to make adepts have absolutely game changing perks that are fantastic in both pve and pve? Have you wondered that? Why wouldn't they take the opportunity to force trials numbers up by having pve players desperately trying to earn their place in pve endgame? Bungie's changed. My career ends with one swift blow once adepts come out. I have to accept it.

To answer your question, the reason they wouldnt do that is because it would break the crucible sandbox. That's why they never made you grind to legend rank in comp for any weapon after not forgotten. If something absolutely amazing requires you to do things very few players can do it's a the rich get richer situation. That's why adepts, when they existed, were only slightly better than their regular versions. Like having snapshot or last man standing. It was nice, and definitely better than not having it, but nowhere was it ever necessary, because you could already get adequate replacements for those weapons.

We’ll see I suppose. But my bet is already going towards going all in on trials loot. I still believe they’re willing to do anything to try and bring trials numbers up substantially. I guess we’ll see who’s right when adepts come out.
