So our new pursuit weapon is a reskin of beloved which was a reskin of the ldr. I don't think it's even worth calling a reskin. It's literally beloved with a piece of cloth on it. Do better Bungie.

I’ve not played this game since the beginning of this season, haven’t really had the time to be honest, not even read the TWAB’s but is it true?, they’re sunsetting Beloved only to bring it back in BL as a reskin and 3 versions of it?? Are they going to do that with every weapon in BL onwards?, vault old weapons and just bring them all back for us to grind again??? This will be the first expansion I’ve not preordered not sure if I want to now...

1 返信Lazy is the new norm for these clowns. Actually I wouldn’t even call it new. They stopped putting in effort back in 2018.

20 通の返信It’s to be expected. Ever since the game became F2P and the business model shifted to FOMO and Seasons there really has been a lack of NEW Development. What new LEGENDARY guns we do receive to this point are all weaker because of the redesigned perk pools then what we had. Not to mention the expiry dates for sunsetting for most good weapons so we have to use these weak guns going forward. I’ve put my Recluse away, stopped using my Hammerhead, said bye bye to Bygones, Beloved, all Fusions and most of the HCs. I’ve started playing exclusively with 1360 expiry guns. The new weapons that have been introduced. Cold Denial, First In Last Out, Hollow Words, Berengers, etc. Guess what? They’re weaker, kill slower, do less damage then their counterparts that are being sunset. EXOTIC weapons created/introduced this season have shown creativity from the Dev Team so that is one positive. Overall I have zero expectations for Beyond Light based on where the games been heading since Shadowkeep came out. Not reaching for my wallet until after release thanks to XBox Gamepass and if what is released gets old fast I’ll simply move onto another franchise. As I’m sure many others will also.

1 返信Don’t worry! DMG said he will pass the concerns over re-skins to the team. You know, because it has not been a top 5 complaint since 2014. Good thing we have such outstanding customer support and communication. Nothing to worry about buddy!

1 返信Man its Bungie, at this point re-skins and recycles aren't just expected, its almost a iconic part of the game. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
https://thumbs.gfycat.com/AlarmedFlusteredHamadryas-mobile.mp4
12 通の返信What cognitive process got you from “Brand new sniper with brand new model that only resembles beloved in its color” to “reskin of beloved”? Man, the anti-bungie zombies are getting desperate...

Bungie cannot sunset 200+ pieces of armor and 400+ weapons and replace with all new never seen before stuff. My prediction is an 80%+ reskin and reissue... thats giving them credit.

1 返信I mean, to be fair, Recluse was just a reskinned Death Adder, Randy's was a reskinned Niflheim Frost, Oxygen was a reskinned Hung Jury, Broadsword was a reskinned D1 pulse, and 21% Delerium was a reskinned Avalanche. It's fairly common for Bungie to use existing weapon skins to make pinnacle/pursuit weapons. What matters is what the sniper's perks will be and what archetype it'll fall in. If it ends up being an adaptive frame with quickdraw/moving target, then yes that'll be a massive slap in the face to us.

I don't get why it's a big deal now compared to before. Recluse and death adder literally are the same gun model, komodo and the tarantula have the same model, Python and mindbenders have the same model, I could go on and on. This isn't anything new, they've been using the same models for guns since d1....-_-
