Quite a few more content creators than the norm recently started expressing their concerns about anti cheat. Concerned for the worlds first race.
If it takes a once a year raid, to get bungie to put in, what should've been a default feature, that'll be sad.
Don't get me wrong, i want anti cheat for obvious reasons, but the method of how seems like its really gonna hurt either way, since for obvious reason, we as a community feel ignored again.
Don't expect a response from me, especially if your either of those people who hate content creators, or think bungie does no wrong.
Stay safe, and to those who still care about this struggling, but not dying game, (im not looking at you till y'all prove me wrong bungie. I want you to)
Eyes up gaurdians. Become legend.

4 通の返信I’ve said this on several posts and Ill say it again. It seems that cheating and hacking ad a whole are on a rise across many online games right now.!like Bungie, it would seem developers either do not care to do anything, or simply can’t. At this rate, there will be cheats during the next world’s first, we have already seen teams get Ddossed, so whats next

It's a long time PC problem on most games never mind Destiny, there's so many factors as well that make it an almost impossible task, the main one is the fact that the cheat coders, love them or hate them, are very good at what they do, that coupled with Bungies lack of action means that not only were the battles lost but so was the war, even if Bungie put all their effort into combating cheating, and I honestly believe they aren't, not even close, but lets believe for a moment they do, they are behind in a race they have no chance of winning. I'm a multi platform guy, primarily PC but I love my consoles as well, I have a PS4, Switch, various older consoles like original Xbox and a 360, didn't bother with XBox 1, whole E3 launch killed it for me, as well as some Raspberry Pi based emulators, when I originally played Vanilla on PS4 all I ever wanted was Destiny on PC, higher resolutions and fps was the holy grail for me, well Destiny 2 is here and on PC and it was glorious, but along came Trials and the rest is history, as much as I hate to admit it, Destiny on PC was a mistake and only because of the cheating. Also it went a long way to show just how ambivalent Bungie are about their game when it comes to making a real effort to protect it and enhance it. I'm no PvP sweat, keeping my K/D above 1 was all I hoped for, even though I got stomped in Trials of the Nine I still played it, but Trials now, no way. I eventually quit Destiny for a number of reasons the main one being me, I've got over 6K hours between vanilla and D2 and I'm just burned out, also I have no faith in Bungie to maintain a constant level of creativity beyond a once yearly "all hands to the pumps" expansion effort, Beyond Light will be epic I have no doubt, but after it we will be back to the seasonal cycles of dross, bland content. The final nail in the coffin was the last Iron Banner, not only was I not enjoying it, I was actually hating it, that's when I knew I was done, I no longer saw good plays and moves in the crucible I just saw cheaters, even though I know the overwhelming majority are just good players doing what they do best my default reaction was "cheat" and that's all on Bungie and the shameful lack of action, I refuse to be that guy so I stopped playing, I miss it but not enough.

3 通の返信Bet they are saving their anti cheat debut for the raid race. Only makes sense. I hope they just like secretly turn it on and watch player count go down 500k+ haha.

10 通の返信I had a guy on here yesterday tell me that anti-cheat wasn’t a requirement because Destiny “isn’t a PvP-focused game” lol... Whether the game is PvP-focused or not, it has a F2P multiplayer that 30-40% of the population plays. Anti-cheat isn’t an option, it’s a bare minimum requirement. Anyways, they need to paywall Trials and Survival on top of implementing an anti-cheat.

8 通の返信So what’s stopping the anti cheating? Is it the engine destiny uses? What are the chances of Bungie updating the engine.

Kiro - 13により編集済み: 9/9/2020 7:43:32 AMId like to see anti cheat. but its not going to be effective any time in the near future. Levithan prestige world first was done with the injection based cheats for rapid fire infinite heavy ammo. They informed the community with an offical responce(from cozmo) they had "no way" of detecting it at the time. that was almost 2 years ago. & while they have made strides to reduce this type of cheating, its more important noting that it was a problem they were aware of for about 2 years and only more recently took steps to detect and ban these users. Its a deep problem that is now so common place you have entire casual clans of players finding ways to cheat that would have never even entertained the idea i would like to believe. But in an enviorment where cheating becomes prolific the normal human responce to give them selves the same advantage as others. I really do think if Bungie had a magic wand they could wave to instant ban all people that have or are cheating they would not use it because it would devastate the player base. 3 season ago they would have waved the hell out of that wand.

1 返信Chuckyにより編集済み: 9/9/2020 9:59:45 PMThey could do it the way MLG does it, I used to play competitive private matches on CoD and the system works well enough. Also wouldn’t be surprised if they held onto whatever they have until beyond light, that way cheating will be at its lowest during that time.

2 通の返信I’ve been playing PVP/Gambit and cheating is rampant. If there is any lawyers playing I think it’s time we force Bungie’s hand. I ran into a player who has been reported 2,360 times. He has a permanent ban via Steam, but is some how still playing Destiny 2. If they can’t stop the cheating in PVP modes, there should be no PVP modes.
