PVP is a Waste of Time
I spent two weeks tracking my time in Destiny 2 pvp and found that without ritual/pinnacle weapons or any kind of good reward, and the absolute lack of anti-cheat pvp, mixed with no skill grouping at all made pvp a waste of time.
The exception to this is trials but only completing the weekly bounties to get the reward that I want.
This comes from spending two thirds of game time either in match making, playing against multiple cheaters or players way outside your skill curve. Either way it’s two thirds of the time that I wasn’t having fun or being engaged.
I even set the experience bar low, I wasn’t looking for wins I was looking at each player engagement to be fun and driving me back for more.
The sad fact is it isn’t. Spending two thirds of the time not enjoying myself from being cheated or stomped finally made me stop playing.
I now just drop in for my pinnacles and leave.

There’s always like 2-3 people just feeding the other team kills. Can I be on the stomping team for once? I’m conflicted for the most part because I f**king hate where snipers are but I love where auto rifles are.

1 返信Im enjoying pvp quite a bit despite the pvp sand box and matchmaking being absolute trash. And guardians crouchwalking in quick play is pretty embarrassing

1 返信Don’t give up dude.. we all get better the more we play.. I used to be absolutely dog sh!t. But now I’m almost unbroken and I have gotten flawless title finally this weekend.. it can be done..

12 通の返信I'm 1000000% on your side here. Since the removal of skill based matchmaking crucible has been a shitshow on the best days and I too washed my hands of the disaster for personal enjoyment is no longer there. Unfortunately as one of the admins for my clan I'm obligated to assist the clannies with any and all needs so I still end up playing time to time, and it's just a giant headache from start to finish.

2 通の返信So if you were winning your 1’s you would have “had fun”? LoL And let’s be honest. You’re o LH going to stay for your pinnacles anyway. But I get it. I look at NFO and Raids the same way you look at PvP A Toxic cesspool and NFO are a waste of time. To each his own...

3 通の返信If you're not having fun you *are* wasting your time. First and foremost. I wholeheartedly sympathize with you. And I partly agree. Pvp is a waste of time because it doesnt really give you anything worthwhile. Though for me, PVE is the unfun part of this game. And it has all the good loot and more importantly, upgrade materials other than enhancement cores behind it. I wish they would give you more upgrade materials for playing PvP. It's called the *crucible* for a reason. It's supposed to improve the Guardians participating. It should improve everything, including armor and weapons.

Aside from Trials, there is no incentive to play the Crucible. The rewards are garbage. You want to grind for weeks to get pinnacle gear that's about to be sunset? Tokens for obsolete vendor gear that hasn't changed in two years? Plus,as a bonus, the Crucible will bury in the blue junk loot to constantly fill up your post office.

Bro I feel your pain and you are 100% spot on. I've been playing since launch and PvP is in a terrible state. Why Bungie doesn't have an anti cheat application running is head scratching. Battlefield made it nearly impossible to cheat in pvp with punk-buster. A little advice to Bungie; start going after the guys who sell the cheats, sue them. In addition to this, make a better effort to combat cheating across the board. Cheating is obviously the biggest concern of most players, it's ruining the game.

1 返信Makes one want to look into how to get away with cheating. Not gonna lie. If bungie isn't gonna beat them. Join them. Break it so far backwards that they have to deal with it. I don't think they can maintain balance. The cheating is mostly on pc. Having lost the team that regulated this, I don't think they can keep up. I wouldn't be surprised if they just disabled the crucible on pc until there is a major fix.

2 通の返信If your barely playing what makes you think that your skill is good enough to be beating 1v1s? I am by no means a god, but I’m above average. As it stood before pvp was as unplayable when every game is a sweat fest. As it is now you can at least put out perform average teams and get the W. TLDR: If you’re not are hardcore pvp player that only plays for bounties why should the matchmaking cater to you. It should be towards players who practice and git gud.
