Necro.. this game has on its last leg... just take the gun and put the dog out of his misery.
This community and the managers are NOT getting any better. They are stuck in their ways and have been for several years. And they even get awards for communication when they are one of the worst developers at doing so.
I know we all we one day find of niche that fills the void of our beloved Destiny. But its about time to jump off this train. Im just waiting for the wreck in November.. i still have a little more popcorn to consume for this dumpster fire of a game. 😎 🍿

Right there with you, I dont see this game making it after the new consoles launch. Even streamers will be a laughing stock if they continue to stream this dinosaur, and lets be real it IS a dinosaur. 30 fps on console in 2020!? GTFO!

Seth, Knower of Thingsにより編集済み: 9/2/2020 5:56:17 PMThis is how out of the loop you guys are. Around 1 mill daily players, 12th most played game on steam and plans for expansions up to 2022 as the next era of Destiny. Also new consoles will be 60 4k

You can check Charlemagnebot at anytime. It was 900k yesterday. For reference around this time in Season of Opulence we were sitting around 750k. When shadowkeep launched the game was up over 1.5 million as it usually is with every major launch. After about a season it drops down to 1 mill and stays between 3/4-1 mill players every season. This has been the norm for 2 years now.

Thats a lie. They run it through the API which is more knowledgeable than steam charts since it tracks all unique log ins across all accounts, instead of repeat players and only at certain times. You have no idea what you are talking about.

Seth, Knower of Thingsにより編集済み: 9/2/2020 6:53:54 PMLol ah yes only trust the one that shows momentary player population, not daily player population. You think the 50k playing at midnight and the 50k playing at noon are always the same 50k people? Of course not. That’s why steam charts are worthless for anything except how many players are on over the course of like an hour. It doesn’t tell you how many unique players logged on that day, just the total number on at a given time.
-
That's actually a pretty important number to have. The total doesn't mean much for a supposedly team-based game. I've logged into the game before and then logged right back out without actually playing anything. But if I know most people are playing around 9pm in a certain timezone, then I would play around that time. Tracking the highs and the lows during regular intervals is a far more valuable number than the daily total.

Total daily players means a lot for bungie wallet and thusly the future of the game. Money goes, no more Destiny. But with 1 mill daily logins if even half the active players buy the expansion that’s 40-50 mill day 1. And that’s without considering that expansion again jump us usually well over 1.5 million. If you want to time your playing hours for max team mates, sure use steams momentary figures. But if you want to figure out how well the games actually doing then you use total player numbers. If the total players are down there’s a 90% chance the momentary players are down as well, but not vise versa.
