A mechanical arm appears from behind his shoulder, and it displays a blue energy shield in front of him. The bullet bounces off, but the shield immediately disappears and the arm retreats. The Atoms fall beside Chiara like a wave against rock and begin to roll towards her.
-
The Atoms aren’t deactivated, but they are stunned, possibly just long enough to escape from them for a short time. “I’m on my way,” Skye announces through the headset. “Is everything kinda-sorta-maybe going all right?”
-
An arrow cuts through the air to imbed itself in Errol’s shoulder. Errol recoils and cries out. Distracted by the pain of the blow, he briefly loses his connection to every single Atom. The beads sound like shattered glass as they drop to the ground. Skye is heard once more through the com. “Chiara! Focus on the Atoms and disable them with your tech if you can! The rest of us will keep you covered!” When she finishes, she decloaks herself and blinks into sight right in front of her brother, leaping into the air with her daggers raised. There is no hesitation in her eye, and her opponent is only barely able to grab onto her wrists and hold them back.
-
There is a cry of pain that echoes in the room, as Loot uses his dark weapon to cut deeply into Errol’s shoulder. Errol is clutching his shoulder, his sister trying to support him as loss of energy and blood weaken him.
-
“This is just great...” Chiara mutters as she limps over to Errol. She takes a injector pen, (like an epi-pen but I don’t know the exact term.) and presses it into Errol’s shoulder. “Adrenaline. I need it for when I get shot up as a wolf.” She cuts her hand with one of her daggers, and a small stream of orange nanotech flies into the air. “That’ll help.” They seep into the wound, and the blood starts to stop.
-
Skye watches the tech in awe after wrapping up Errol’s shoulder in cloth from Blaze and Dally’s shirts and his own cloak. There is some relief on Errol’s face, but his skin is still pale. “F-Fox is on her way with a blood bag,” Skye says quietly, still quite in shock about the whole event.
