I'd appreciate it if you could read till the end because these are some issues that I want others to see. I'll have a TL;DR if you don't want to read it.
I was watching a video earlier of ex-Bungie talking about the development of Halo 2 and 3 and the thing that stuck out to me was the fact that Bungie actually played a LOT of their own game. They criticized their own work and made the need changes, taking the players perspective. Hence, why the Halo games under Bungie where solid games that became iconic.
I really don't have any reason to believe Bungie still does this. This game is really just not fun anymore and it has problems that are pretty hilariously stupid.
For example, I CANNOT imagine Bungie developers creating Champions, nerfing Guardians and their weapons over and over, and then playing the Master Nightfall and saying "hey this is really fun!" If you've survived that without nearly losing your sanity, good for you. Thank GOD I had good players to help me and I have Mountain Top. I cannot imagine casual players having fun doing that or even getting it done, let alone Bungie employees who have a job working on the game and probably don't have time to play. Of course, you have to do it for the Solstice glow and its not a good idea to put such an annoying, high level activity in something that every wants done, and that brings me to the point.
The solstice grind this year is not only uninspiring, but its not exactly free for all. At first, the gear seems easy for everybody to get for free, and that would make sense, seeing as how Destiny 2 (for the most part) is free for Y3, and an expansion right around the corner, it wouldn't make sense to buy Shadowkeep right now. Yet, you need Shadowkeep to complete the armor due to having to complete Pit of Heresy. My friend is currently dealing with this problem and I don't think that's fair. You might as well give it to people who only have Shadowkeep if your gonna force them to buy it to finish the glow anyway. I don't see how Bungie didn't see this as being a problem for people who don't have the expansion and want the armor. Its like they didn't actually grind for the armor themselves, and thought, "hey, we need to do Pit of Heresy for this last part, but that's for Shadowkeep, so maybe we should change that for free players who want the armor." But no, they still show no self awareness of these issues.
There are a bunch of other things Bungie does that shows they don't play this game and its really annoying. Thing I don't need to mention really. How can you be the judge of your own game if you don't put yourself in the shoes of the players and play your own game?!
TL;DR: Bungie doesn't play this game themselves, and it shows through the Master Nightfall and Solstice Pit of Heresy completion.

I glad this is getting a lot of attention, and I appreciate it everyone. I really want Bungie to see this post for my friends sake, because its not fair that he isn't able to complete the white armor glows after all the work he put into it.

Honestly I don't think they do.It took alot of negative feedback from players about the bridge section of the Reckoning for Bungie to realize that they screwed it up.If they playtested it enough times they would have picked up on all of the things wrong with it.

Marty O’Donnell did an interview a few days ago in which he talked about the insane Halo 2 crunch. It was pure Hell. One dev even slept on a mattress in the studio for months and his family came to visit him in the mornings. But they weren’t even forced to do it by Microsoft... They took it upon themselves to do it because they didn’t want to let the fan down by delaying the game or shipping it half-baked. Luke Smith was hired because he was a journalist that wrote a bad review of H2 and they wanted a different perspective in the studio. I definitely can’t see either of these things happening anymore.

Bungie: lol idiot of course we dont we test new stuff thats it why would we play then we would know how bad pvp is getting since last season we let streamer decide things and we may add few things here and there

3 通の返信I legitimately realized they didnt play or test there game when Prometheus lens first came out back in curse of osiris dlc. There is no way it would of gotten through in it's broken state if it was actually properly tested by people.

TJ_Dotにより編集済み: 8/21/2020 9:54:31 PMThe lack of foresight they display is pretty much damning evidence they don't. Say what you want about the AR TTK in crucible, but if anyone there did the math to realize that an entire archetype was pretty much pulling the old recluse level of crazy, something they nerfed, then they wouldn't have let it happen.

Mudcat33により編集済み: 8/21/2020 4:30:39 PMTrust me man. They know what they did. Its sad that they have to go down that route. They have a boat load of items in eververse, merchandise (cook books, shirts), etc and they choose to do this. Just looks bad, looks scummy. Advertise it as free then keep it truly free. Dont argue with me and say "well it is free", the armor has cracks in it for the glow so without the glow what are the cracks for? Looks stupid. What adds to the problem is having this at the end of all your grind. Thats a business tactic, a scummy one. Makes you feel the need to buy shadowkeep. Like, "well damn, i just did all of this work and suprise i dont feel fulfilled", outcomes the wallet. Get rid of fomo and get rid of these scummy tactics. Makes you look scummy. And dont have a pop up show up when I receive the travelers chosen soon telling me about its ornament. Use eververse, merchandise, season passes, and expansions as your income, pay employees, profit money and put a respectable amount of that money back into the game. Dont be dirt.

Game is a mess. Every week its a new bug or a glitch. At the moment im miffed that joining Gambit matches mid match dont count toward anything. Gotta play 6 matches instead of 5 for the solstice armor? Like i want to spend more time in that garbage fire of a game mode

Much of it has to do with the person in charge of the direction the game is going. The creative double speak used when marketing content, how things are phrased in a manner that makes you think great things, but only tell half truths. People forget that person used to be in journalism and knows how to use framing to get people to imply what is wanted. This way they don't have to openly say the opposite and look bad.

Lol, why would Bungie play there own game? To figure out what's broke and what's op? Nahh dawg, they wait for the streamers to cry then they take a look at hard data only to wait 10 months and tell you that it's not gonna matter with the next dlc so they're gonna leave it broken. Enjoy😂😂😂😂🖕

1 返信The ONLY point I will at least empathize with is requiring the purchase of Shadowkeep for the armor glow. While I don't see an issue with a cosmetic glow being associated with a DLC activity, SoH was advertised as Free to Play, so again, I am empathetic. Master Nightfalls were created as a difficult activity as most PVE content was able to be steamrolled. Master Nightfalls fill that roll decently well except for one problem, they are too easy. This is why Grandmaster Nightfalls were created, to be truly challenging PVE endgame activities with a Light Level cap upon entry. With that said, Master Nightfalls are very achievable for any decent player that plays somewhat regularly throughout the season. I have ZERO empathy for someone who doesn't get the glow because they can't complete a Master Nightfall.

1 返信same with elder scrolls online, the patchnotes mostly shows that they have no -blam!-ing idea what they are talking about. Nice weekend everyone :-)
