I left Destiny 2 year two season two I believe. Not 100% sure but needless to say I haven't played in a long long time. The new content looks promising however I am wondering how long lapsed players are supposed to come back. I tried logging into my D2 account and found the new system so complex and convoluted that I just put it down again. So what are you guys at Bungie doing to help long lapsed players come back.

1 返信Jump in with friends/clanmates. Play in a group. That's how you get back into it. If you're trying to take everything on solo, don't bother.

I cant even find the means to Log in to this Pile of crap anymore. Shadowkeep and thier seasonal model killed it for me. Not spending another dime. Ill stick to FTP when stupid Beyond Light hits if that. Been enjoying other titles I put off for a while and haven't given this crap Destiny a thought.

1 返信Bungie made changes to the game this year that made it difficult for new and returning players. They realize they screwed this up and plan to improve the situation for Beyond Light. The changes should be available in the FTP version in Nov. Id wait till then to see if you’re up to a return.

At first it was quite overwhelming, the games way bigger, but after a few days, and YouTube videos, I got into it, downloaded this app and got some help doing the rat King quests. I soon got that old feeling from D1, the love for the grind, and now am back playing near enough daily. Hope you can get your teeth sunk back in with a bit of perseverance.

Nothing. Because why should devs cater to the babies that stopped playing, when they have a huge following of loyal and regular players to cater to. Either play it or don't. Stop making a scene because you're desperate for a little attention.

Knox Knoxにより編集済み: 8/19/2020 7:02:40 PMI left the game recently because of their sunsetting direction. I still play with clan to help them out if they need a guy on raids and quests. But I am not moving forward anymore and will not buy any future content for this game anymore. When I miss it, I'll play the Free-to-Play version. But that's it for me with this game. Do you ask yourself the question why?. . . Why are they taking half the old D2 content away?. . . And then replace them with even older content?. . . . . . Replace them with D1 raids and strikes?. . . Isn't that odd that they would think we would rather play old D1 content than them making us new better content?. . . And we are tolerating this sh*t?. . . They are struggling to make new better content so they throw us old recycled content from D1. And that would make us happy?. . . I'm dumbfounded!!! Bizzare! Do they really think they can Jedi mind trick me with this Bullsh*t?. . .

2 通の返信I really don't think Bungie has any obligation to try to convince players who left to come back and unfortunately, MMO styled games where the majority of the content is geared towards the endgame players, will only get more confusing as you get left behind. I found this especially true with their New Light intention of bringing "new" players into the game during shadowkeep. It's a great idea to create an entry level introduction for players who ultimately wouldn't have any idea where to start, but alas their new light experience is just a crap ton of quests that are more obnoxious than informative and simply end up occupying a lot of quest space by the time you've gotten a hold on the game. That said, if you're looking for a reason to come back, it's gotta be because you like D2 as an FPS. Destiny is easily my favorite FPS if for no other reason than just how insane space magic and bullets make a combat experience. I've always been impressed by how the guns are so "feel" oriented giving everyone the chance to find gear that suits your preferences. End gamers and pvp monkeys (Nothing wrong with end game or pvp, idk what we call the people that are never satisfied) will tell you thats a garbage answer because you have to use certain things to matter, but that's just not true. You can play this game anyway you want 90% of the time. It may not always be efficient, or the meta, but you can overcome that with practice in your comfort zone by simply sticking with it. I'm a casual player, in that I play a ridiculous amount but am not someone who aggressively needs to complete and do everything. If you left the game because you got tired of the same old thing, that's chill, but imo, existing content doesnt persist to ignite your interests in the game, they exist because they are the things players like to do enough to keep them around. New content is what gets me excited and so I imagine that these fall expansions are the exciting new reasons to jump back in. New guns, activities, apparel, lore, etc. If that stuff doesn't tickle your fancy, Idk that you really like the game very much in general and nothing the game developers can do will change that. Instead I would recommend finding a genre that better suits your tastes. Not to say there aren't a jillion ways to improve the game, but you gotta love it at its core for what it is because that never goes away.

They arent doing anything .. The game is definitely not new/returning player friendly at this point.. I stopped playing for 8 months after CoO came back right as forsaken dropped .. It was much easier at that point to pick the game up

2 通の返信I returned in June after a couple years... If not for friends still playing, I would have given up... You need to spend hours researching the game before playing again... Include the "known issues" page on your weekly required reading list as well... It's long and changes frequently... Oh, and finally, realize they only care about eververse making every penny she can and that we all pre order beyond light, before it becomes free on Xbox pass...

If you're gonna buy the pass grind out the new swords from Umbrals and do the Ruinous Effigy quest + catalyst quest. Grind the recaster to get all the new charged with light mods. If you aren't getting it I'd say just grind enough to get the Witherhoard and Guillotine from the free track and try to have fun. :)

I was gone since 1 month or so after release. Too much to absorb. I fell back on what worked for me in d1. Bounties and strikes to get reacquainted and dialed in. Checked out most interactive npcs. Then I just sort of let go and had some fun. The fun gets grindy and I turn it off.

1 返信You’re not the only one who left, people are leaving by the droves at the moment because the game is in a terrible state and bungo is doing nothing to fix it. I’d recommend you stay away and enjoy a better game, peace.
