Dear Bungie,
I have never felt more frustrated playing this game. I can understand the need to include pvp requirements in event objectives; doing so helps keep different aspects of the game healthy and encourages players to get out of their comfort zone and enjoy something new. I like some light crucible play, although I’m not very good. But the 7 win trials requirement is just ridiculous and frustrating for people like me who are not geared for and not skilled in pvp. It’s not encouraging me to try something new nor is it rewarding me for trying. I am just getting railroaded over and over again with no real reward for the few wins I’ve managed due to perseverance and trying new strats.
For the “try harder/get gud” nerds: I don’t want to get better at Trials. It’s not fun to me. I will continue to try, because I want the glow. And, I will undoubtedly improve. But I’m not having fun.
Just wanted you to know.

1 返信14 match completions. 2x progress for wins would have been challenging and an incentive to win.

3 通の返信And people who play pvp are forced to pve. Stop with the "woe is me" routine. Ain't -blam!-in nobody here getting everything they want. The vast majority or players either don't do things or deal with them in order to get the loot.

2 通の返信You're being forced to be cannon fodder for a trash game mode that most dont want to participate in. Think Gambit. Bungie needs to artificially pad the numbers to pat themselves on the backs.

Don't you just love all the PvP gods telling 70% of the players to shut up and DON'T play PvP? Who do they think paved their way to the lighthouse? Frostbolt? If players are no longer forced to play PvP every single crucible match will be like SBMM tuned to 400%, I am sure they are going to enjoy it immensly.

8 通の返信yup i agreed i got the glow and finish up on all three of my character but the trial 7 wins requirement is terrible, who really enjoy playing that sht mode, honestly it's the least enjoyable part of the triumphs a pain even. Bungie so desperate to promote the fail mode so they decide to force it on pve players to unlock a gear u are force to be cannon fodder in the fail modes that is filled with cheaters and carries that still rampant around the mode. IF that is their idea of fun, lmao seriously im worried on the next dlc.

It's not just trials mate, if you are crap at pvp like me, even getting 100 solar kills in there is bad enough, just a total grind and endless dying, I could managevit easier with momentum control, but in quick play I am lucky to get more than 5 kills, which is roughly 30 -blam!-ing games in this shit mode

1 返信I like PVP and I'm decent at it.........but............the Trials wins was a bad idea. People who don't like PVP become cannon fodder. Trials is dying, on PC its really bad, and to make people wade into it and win was just stupid. I can see "playing" trials as a condition but not the wins; like the 10 Gambit completions (which was horrible because gambit sucks).

50 通の返信If you cant earn it then you dont deserve it. The challenges for the solstice set are meant to be "endgame" or "difficult" and moments of triumph is to celebrate the whole game. It is a pvepvp game, so you should be good at both if you want everything.

4 通の返信FataLVisioN_Ooにより編集済み: 8/19/2020 12:57:40 PMI'll tell you the secret of getting good in trials... It's how I got good in D1. 1) bottle of Jack (or whatever alcohol you prefer) 2) find friends that also drink and don't care about stats 3) turn trials into a drinking game - at the end of the round 2nd and 3rd place (kills wise for the round) get a half a shot. - if you are in a 3v1 kill the last guy with no scopes only (was much easier in D1 with all the special ammo) whoever gets the kill doesn't drink the other 2 drink. - if you win the match no shots if you lose everyone takes a shot. - every time you are revived you have to take a shot dedicated to the player that revived you. - if someone saves you from a super you have to take a shot dedicated to them. Etc. By the time you are on game 4 or 5 you are so drunk you don't care anymore lol you are just having fun yelling at your buddies covery fire!!!!! As you spray your auto at nothing 😂

4 通の返信The idea is to make it a challenge. Granted not a fun one since it's too much grind not enough reward in my opinion.

Getting rid of the loss counter would make trials more inviting to the causal or average player base. But from an argument in a different post that certain players don’t want the causal or average player base to play pvp showing they don’t want a fair and balance game for everyone.

2 通の返信
I am admittedly bad at Trials. Why make me try to win?
Because the streamers and the elites need more fresh meat. It's like Gollum telling Frodo that his "armor glow" is just beyond the hill. They simply need to go through this dark and creepy tunnel system called Shelob's Lair (aka Trials) to get there. Pay no attention to the webs... The only way to win is not to play.

1 返信You will be made to play what Bungie wants you to play. This isnt 'your' game.... its for revenue not quality product!

1 返信Because we need more people in trials, thanks to this event we had easy way to lighthouse, because lots of people been playing just to unlock glow on boots.

3 通の返信The armor shouldn’t be tied to the crucible. There was a time when I was decent in there, but when they increased the overall speed, is when I started to dislike it. I’m 61, so that might be part of it.
