bows in my opinion should be good for all ranges in crucible/pve , crucible: there good for long range great for mid but horrible for close up. they have the damage and accuracy there snipers without special ammo and the high damage but with this current meta almost all weapons are impossible to use and i use Le Monarque almost every match and bows can be good but i cant defend myself in a quick manner if someone gets the drop on me with an auto, smg, or shotgun. pve: datto said it best overkill for any small ads but ultras and majors you would be plinkinkg it to death. my solution for pvp is reduce the draw time, increase knock speed, or add a bash ability that replaces melee like swords. pve: all of crucible buffs and add a slight damage increase.

They are for hit-and-run attacks and cleaning up targets that your teammates have already damaged. Bows DEMAND a specific playstyle that most players aren't used to. Think less like Rambo and more like Katniss.

1 返信You’re delusional if you think they need a damage increase in PvP. They can one shot with the right perks or with High energy Fire active. If it gets buffed even more and they just flat out one shot across the board that’s all anyone would use. If anything they need a damage reduction in PvP.

1 返信They did just get a buff. They are crazy good. But they should definitely lose to an auto rifle close range. Pve just make sure you hip fire for close range. Most recent damage buff made that pretty viable as a way to deal with low power junk

The weapon has very high damage and unlimited range and the best peak shot potential in the game along with some of the best teamshot potential with such high burst. It needs some drawbacks it can’t be good at ALL ranges no gun should be. Your buff ideas remove all downsides to the weapon while making its strengths even better it’s bias AF and laughs in the face of balance. If it has a unique melee that’s powerful that removes the ability to catch them off guard. That’s like giving a snipe a bayonet to one hit if they get jumped on like no that’s not needed. Bows could get some buffs without breaking the game but that’s certainly not it. This is why god gave you two weapon slots (not counting heavy) you can have two weapons that compliment each other but no weapon should be good at all ranges. Many weapons are viable and can compete well in the sandbox right now. High impact pulses kill faster and have more range so they win the long range duel. Burst Sidearms kill much faster at close range winning that duel. Handcannons don’t kill faster but they win the duel if they peak shot. They have strengths weaknesses and counters. That’s how guns should be if you ask me

5 通の返信Pair it with a side arm or shottie with quickswap perk many side arms will outshoot autos and there's a few solid smgs too Can't just rely on the one weapon type for all range of engagements I typically run pulse/fusion combo for pvp but have been leaning toward HCs & sidearms lately.

2 通の返信man i’m sorry, but bows in PvP are incredibly annoying, they hit for 152 mostly, and when paired with a quick sling (maybe a high impact hand cannon) you die extremely fast. a bow should not even begin to be effective close range against smgs etc, that’s ridiculous
