The shelf life on these orbs is nonexistent. If you are not in close quarters to what you kill they disappear before you can get to them. THIS IS SO F'N STUPID!
EDIT: Points taken in regards to too many objects and crashing the game... thats fair. That said, maybe the requirements should be orbs generated instead? Then you picking them up just impacts getting the empowerment or not. They could then reduce the number of orbs needed to compensate for only counting your orbs. Just a thought.

1 返信To everyone that states "Its to fix the crashes" good point, not bad... but them only lasting 1 sec after spawning is a bit extreme... IMO they swung the pendulum too far in that direction.

Honestly they probably despawn quickly because if they didn't the game would crash from having too much shit on screen at one time. Heck, my game lags hard when I Sunshot the thralls on EP and all the fire orbs pop out and that's by myself. I could only imagine how it would be with more people 😂

2 通の返信Or, better options. 1. Collecting orbs is -blam!-ing stupid. Don't have them at all. 2. They auto collect immediately, I think, like in Gambit.

If their (increasingly error-prone as time goes by) code can't handle the graphical load of all the orbs, they should implement the 'collection' process in a different way. They're already counting elemental kills, and in addition they clearly have a means of determining how many orbs and what type to spawn when an enemy goes down, all they should need to do is to convert that to a non-graphical 'points' system of some sort and get on with it.

6 通の返信They shouldn't, but they do. Increases the grind in a slight but frustrating way. Just remember, that's developer desperation. If you have to resort to small but significant tricks to increase the grind, your grind wasn't that good to begin with.

1 返信Imagine instead of having to pick up the orbs, the orbs would automatically be collected therefore no need for guitar errors or the worry or not being able to pick them up in time. But no they gotta increase the grind.

2 通の返信They should be called cqc orbs because you're but getting them worth a scout or a sniper. Shooting them to collect them could be a compromise a well.

3 通の返信Side note, anyone else getting 3x credit on solstice challenges on the armour? I started on my 1st char and every match counts as 3, every kill as 3, every orb as 3. Just wondering if anyone is getting this happy bug right now. I mean if I get double and triple on my next 2 chars when I’m already getting triple on my 1st... 🤷🏼♂️😂

Should be orbs generated. They just make the game too much of a grind with this BS. It's not fun, just annoying... so I will be missing this years Solstice armor. I think Bungie forgot that other people work and have families.
