Spent a lot of time collecting cool older weapons, now I’m extra bummed about Sunsetting.
Pretty much what the title says. I know I’m hardly the first or only person to point this out but I figured I’d add my voice to the conversation.
I’ve gotten so many cool older weapons this season. I love using weird off-meta stuff for both PvP and PvE. So I’ve spent a ton of time grinding nightfalls for a militias birthright or silicon numera, hunting specific world stops like a thin line or right side of wrong, and a loooot of time in forges looking for the perfect Blast Furnace or Bad News to fit my play style.
Knowing that practically all of my favorite weapons are going to be limited to pretty much just patrols is a very crappy feeling. It feels like I’m loosing a lot of input on what makes my Guardian, well, mine.
I really hope you reconsider this move Bungie.
Just the two cents from a player who just got his perfect Blast Furnace and doesn’t want it to go away after a few months :/

It’s extra funny now because gear is sun setting, you can’t take random rolls from collections, not all armour is ornaments and our vaults are tiny and don’t function as well as the D1 vaults did ahahaha aw man, it’s just to funny, this late in the games life cycle lmfao you can’t write this stuff dude

1 返信Yep same here, feels like bungie doesn’t know their own game or players. Sunsetting won’t work the way they’re planning it’s hilarious the idea actually went into development

1 返信You still have 3 months to enjoy them. Which to me feels like a very long time in Destiny 2. Which Is why I have spent the last month unlocking the pinnacle weapons that were released during my 2 year hiatus from the game.

1 返信You farmed a blast furnace when you knew it was going away? It sucks, but I'm fine with it. Sounds like they have some cool plans for the future. I don't play much now because I have most of the god rolls, now I'll have a reason to go for new stuff again.

Yeah, Bungie needs to update loot on older activities. I got both a Galiard-42 auto with dynamic sway and kill clip and a Last Man Standing shotgun with rifled barrel , accurized rounds, grave robber, one two punch with range masterwork this season. Normally, I’d be happy but since I got it this season, it’s only gonna be good for this season before getting sunset. Getting god rolls on older guns really sting this season.

12 通の返信It really isn't a bad call. Sure from a minimal story, out of context assumption, it might sound bad. But it's ultimately a good thing. Just because you just now decided to start playing doesn't mean we haven't played with those guns for over a year, or two. And with that said, you can still use them. No older weapon is required for any bit of content. Yeah it would be cool to bring in your blast furnace into the grandmaster nightfall but there are plenty of other guns you can use for the 20% of the content you cant use it for. Its a solid compromise.

2 通の返信I'm grinding out forges to get the "100 weapon completion" triumph and get that ship, definitely a bummer that all these good weapons will be rendered useless in most activities in a few months
