We are chatting in the clan and discussing iron banner and how it's used to be fun. We all used to look forward to iron banner cause it had the best gear and weapons. Now its put your time in to get the pinnacles and get out. Too many mercy matches rehashing old weapons and armor. And since the change to CBMM it's like trials 2.0. Who wants that!

3 通の返信aequusにより編集済み: 8/7/2020 8:26:42 AMFunny how everyone says iron banner "use to be fun". It was constantly -blam!- about mercys were still just as prevelant, the lag was unreal. Iron banner was hardly ever fun. It's better now. You've played 400 hours of crucible and never passed a .8 in what world was PvP ever fun for you.. Seriously, i'm not trying to be an ass, but i'm not even that good, but if I were struggling that much I just wouldn't even play. How is dying more than killing even fun? That was with SBMM. The isssue isn't CBMM the issue is how teams are players are distributed throughout the lobby/.

11 通の返信OBI-SWEDE KENOBIにより編集済み: 8/5/2020 11:03:04 AMDoesn’t matter what you or I think - Bungie only listens to streamers these days. Rest of the none streaming community is cannon fodder. The only way for us to counter that is stop playing along with them, don’t buy the next season, don’t play crucible.

6 通の返信I like it! I run with my clan and pubstomp the casuals who shouldn't be in a High Octane mode like Iron Banner and should probably assemble a team of their own and play Quickplay before entering the "competitive", " toxic", "sweaty" mode Iron Banner is. 🤦♂️

I love how a few pvp dudes say I suck lol. I know that... hello.. i didnt grow up with a controller in my hand since i was 2 and I have a house and a job and kids and grandkids are they all come before pvp, and always will. I dont know if this is a ps4 forum only, but those of you on pc in easy mode can chirp I tell you lol. Seriously chatting with a friend at work and that's what he calls pc players, aka easy mode lol. Made me laugh! Anyways the topic is iron banner, I dont think every crucible match in every crucible mode should appease the high end pvp players. To me that is what TRials is for! Freelance makes the most sense absolutely! Agree with the zone controls comments too.

6 通の返信Infamous067により編集済み: 8/5/2020 7:47:20 PMThe real issue with iron banner comes from capturing all flags and having teams earn 3 times more points for 30 full seconds. This is the real reason why the mercy rule happens so often in iron banner, we also have to deal with power advantages which is just as annoying because primary weapons become more useless since lower level players are forced to run nothing but specials to even get kills. All of you claiming cbmm is the problem, get out of here and use some common sense. Cbmm is no different from regular crucible and from looking at stats, regular crucible is thriving so its a fact that cbmm is not the issue here. Iron banner is only crap because of power advantage, the terrible hunting system and the insane amount of 6 stacks that decide to steamroll solo que players. A free lance iron banner would definitely help the mode, removing power advantage would be nice but it goes against what iron banner stands for and removing the hunting system would be the best thing bungie can do to alleviate the mercy rule playing every single match.

5 通の返信If you don’t want to get clapped don’t play like an idiot. Look at my last match..... 5 stack...... 29 elims over 2.5 kda. Peak. Know when to engage. Know when to fall back. Push with your team. I’m a solo and even though I’m not in a stack you still move as a group.

mxgregにより編集済み: 8/6/2020 4:24:13 AMMercy rule, mercy rule. Mercy rule, mercy rule, Defeat, defeat, win that feels like a lose, defeat, join game in progress which turns out to be a win, but don't have time to get a kill so no rewards. They really know how to appreciate their players. Team balancing is so bad, I played an elimination match and go 11/1 which is boring and unfair to the other team and play IB and can't seem to muster the 25 sidearm kills. I've spent a few hours the last couple of days and gotten a total of 25 IB tokens. What a bummer. I played the CBMM play from time to time to try and learn from those that are better, but there needs to be a bit more of a middle ground. Also why the ffff isn't there a freelance solo queue.

CoolFusionにより編集済み: 8/6/2020 5:30:28 AMTake control out of the game mode or change the lock-out mechanism to where you can contest a zone to prevent a lockout and reward for power play prevention. Prevent teams of 5 or higher from matching non-full fireteams. Limit supers to once per game like D1 was. Limit special ammo severely. Make the loot more rewarding, remove tokens and make it a random drop for weapons after a match, win or loss shouldn't matter. Mercied players should be rewarded for sticking it out and not quitting. D1 Iron Banner was WAY more fun than what we have now.

1 返信Agree, used to max out all 3 characters in D1 .... entire clan did.... used to have scheduled games all week long. now it's just a side note and there is never a scheduled game for clan members because no one really cares.

I think the 6 stacks can get annoying at times ur right so maybe a freelance wouldn't be terrible, but also a lot of the problem with the hunt is no one plays the objective! ppl just run around getting kills instead of using tactical strategy to cap zones i sit on zones all the time and teammates always just run past me and get sniped 20 ft into their straight line and then im forced to 1v3. It takes some basic pvp knowledge to do decent at it and you will lose some matches pretty hard sometimes, but you can also win if you contribute and play as a team, not just a aimless ape running around or a sniper sitting in the back of the map the whole time. I am no god at the mode I do decent at it but i still win a decent amount of times as long as I play the objective always.

It’s a end game mode. Play in a team. If you go in solo expecting a regular QP match, your vastly mistaken.... Their not gonna hand out Pinnacles for whining. Not the better players fault their better then others.
-
It only feels like trials if you are a well below average player. I can’t speak for your clan but you are in roughly the bottom 36% so endgame pvp content will be tough for you. I think it’s important that endgame pvp reward skill. Personally I love the changes and actually farm iron banner for fun now even after my bounties which I never did before

They got iron banner right in d1y3. In year 1 the lag was way worse, not a green bar in sight. The rng is way to brutal this time. I wish they would give us the quest every IB. It wasn't that long. I hope to get forward path but bungie insist on giving me bite of the fox or the GL. All I hope for is a Forward Path with MKC and a good long scope. I would use it in pve as 600s are very good in pve.
