If ppl didn’t pay them then their would be no ‘Business’ so therefore it’s not Bungies doing it’s the player base. So just don’t pay $$ then there no problem.

Cool, so if I don't want to pay for carry, I should just not play the game huh? And carries/recovs made it more than "just a game", they turned it into a business. Not only is it against the ToS, it's ruining the experience for regular players. If they were just doing PVE, then I wouldn't care at all, since their gameplay would not affect me in any way. But because it's nearly impossible to do well in trials unless you're top 1%, it's directly affecting anyone playing trials legitimately. When someone plays a game like a job (with better profits than a lot of jobs would pay nowadays), they'll be on that game for exponentially more time than just about anyone playing the game for fun.

It's not about players being better, it's about the frequency that you face those players. In the past when recovs/carries weren't as common, we still ran into amazing players, but it was rare because they are a part of less than 1% of crucible population. Now almost every match you play you run into paid carries/recovs/streamers. Bringing money into it made those top 1% players move from playing for fun to playing for a paycheck. It's a lot more common since money got involved.

It's like a broken telephone with you. Yes they're still just playing the game, but if I only have a chance to run into them for an hour they're playing, vs every single one of the top 1% spending all their free time to make money playing. People play the game way more when money is involved, just look at how much streamer activity spiked when bungie decided that gifting subs should reward you in game. Also if your only solution to carries, is more carries, then you've got no solution.
