I don't normally post on here, but I'm a bit concerned about crucible. Before the change I had a lot of fun playing with my peers skill-wise, but since the change, I can't even compete with some of these guys.
I went from doing crucible every day to not at all.
I'm not really concerned about the people who are on top defending this change, after all its more fun for them. Folks like me just don't have fun with it anymore.
You can even check my history all the way back through June/Late May (before the change), huge change in performance. I went from leading in the leaderboards or at least being viable, to nothing.
I've seen a few others post about this on the forums as well, but they tend to get dragged down by the toxic or plain negative responses.
Can we have our other crucible back, please?
Let the pros play against the pros, and let the rest of us have fun with people around our skill level.
I'm just another one in the pile who won't be doing many crucibles anymore.

1 返信I just hate being teamed up with blueberries and going against stacked teams...why am I always expected to carry the team? It’s lame

32 通の返信CaptainW1nkyにより編集済み: 7/25/2020 10:31:18 PMThe majority of the playerbase has a better time with cbmm. A very small minority (the bottom percent) has a bad time. Nothing will really help you besides practice. You are getting beat up on by people that have a .7-1 kd on average. That's not exactly top tier.

9 通の返信Wizburrにより編集済み: 7/25/2020 9:45:18 PMFor me it’s the opposite. I’ve been playing crucible more this season than ever before. I absolutely can’t get enough of it, i’m having a blast. Agree to disagree, but honestly some people will cry themselves to sleep knowing there are others like me. Edit: Like some others have said, practice. Call of Duty has had sbmm and it’s no fun whatsoever. You almost never do “good”, since everyone is your same skill level. I know you think you’re bad at crucible, but there is ALWAYS someone worse than you.

4 通の返信Connection is the main pvp killer. And the lack of testing on the developers part. Sure theres plenty of pool to swim and test but if u truly care about your game thats what u do. But it doesnt happen. Sbmm was keeping top tiers from entering a game more than 20 mins at times. Cbmm makes the weekend warrior hate their experience. My opinion on your pro v pro perspective. Is its childish and naive. And no i dont farm you "casuals" for stats. I play elimination as the go to cuz i want to hone in my skills. My philosophy on your pro v pro. Is sharpen your blade. Become better than what u are. And i dont run meta until the whole enemy team runs meta. Then i show them whats up. You cant concentrate the lower skill players in a kiddie pool with one another and call that swimming. Sometimes you need to jump into the 12 ft water and swim to the shallows. The will help u at least learn how to pump those tiny arms enough to get to the edge for safety. Ik im gonna get a bunch of trolls and thin skin players whining about their experience in PvP. And all i can say is what i did up top. Peer 2 peer connections and the developer are the main pvp killers. Not cbmm. If peer 2 peer wasnt a thing sbmm would have remained the prerogative. But way too many sbmm games disconnected even more so than whatever they have done to their hybrid* crap heep lately. In all honesty pvp modes have just felt sluggish and frame rates drop more so than ive ever seen despite being cbmm. Granted I dont get kicked as much. But the issues are just as prevalent. Practice. With a team. Solo. In private matches. In different mode types. Dont conform yourself to the meta because meta kills the game experience and gives bungie a smaller loot pool to really test on. I hope to see evolution for the better and not more digression in beyond light. Thats all

44 通の返信
I've seen a few others post about this on the forums as well, but they tend to get dragged down by the toxic or plain negative responses.
I think its more than fair to question the extent to which the game should reward people with superior experiences in terms of gameplay quality for insisting that an inherently competitive mode be based around not wanting to improve. Because even with the removal of SBMM, that's still what we have now and it's set up this way to cater to people who, for whatever reason, demand the right to place first on the leader board at the expense of others' gameplay quality. I personally think its wrong to have a mode where so much effort is already put into catering to the kind of player that you represent and then to also add the requirement that matchmaking works in such a way that it guarantees you first place. At a certain point its just unfair to say that people in the upper middle tier of "skill" should be the only ones who have to face people who are better than them often, and oh yeah, they should have to do it with little to no shot registration and slower character movement than what is given to the top tier of players. Just as an example. I play control a lot, and the amount of people who either don't know or don't care that the majority of maps are designed so that you lose if you don't hold zone B is astonishing. Should the game be programmed to where it just says okay, this simple characteristic shouldn't be adapted to and instead we should design the game to where all these people are put together while also giving another group of people barely playable matches because that's the way competition should work now? Its simply not good to approach PvP with a mindset that it needs to cater to people who refuse to even do the most basic things. It causes a lot of problems for other people and just because some people don't know or don't care shouldn't mean that they take priority in terms of gameplay quality.

7 通の返信
I went from leading in the leaderboards or at least being viable, to nothing
You "leading the leaderboards" was fake. The game had you on training wheels and now you see where you really are. You want to lead the leaderboard? Earn it like everyone up thier did. Not through bungie holding your hand.
I've seen a few others post about this on the forums as well, but they tend to get dragged down by the toxic or plain negative responses.
Because the majority HATE sbmm and for good reason
Can we have our other crucible back, please? Let the pros play against the pros, and let the rest of us have fun with people around our skill level.
Absolutely not, you arent entitled to separate mm so you can have some success in pvp. As I said above EARN IT like all those currently winning did - your purchase of a game doesnt mean the onus is on the game to make you feel you're good, nor should those that actually took the time and effort to improve be punished with endless MLG sweatfests in casual modes because you feel entitled to flipping pvp on its head and making saocil modes into competitive ones.
I'm just another one in the pile who won't be doing many crucibles anymore.
That's totally fine, your spot has already been replaced twice over by the massive influx we get from cbmm each time

Balancing the competition in any type of event is meant to promote participation. The goal is to enable everyone to have an equal chance to win. Bowling leagues with handicaps, adult sports with divisions, marathons with age categories, basketball leagues with height limits and even spelling bees with grade limits are examples. You and others who have quit playing pvp are examples of what happens when these balancing mechanisms don't exist. Many don't participate.

8 通の返信Grow up you man child.. Put your words into real life perspective for a second: I'm not good at sports so I get put in the bottom class with all the chunksters and when I win a game I run home and tell mummy and daddy my achievements. Not really an achievement is it? It's all about trying to make you feel better than you really are. Accept you're no good and better players are out there. Play against the better players and become better?

3 通の返信It's not even Cbmm, I get brazil, Japan, china, Portugal -blam!- that laggy bs. I should only play against usa. Not Australia, not laggy/cheating -blam!-ing Mexicans. Not -blam!-tards from Germany or Poland. Bring back SBMM -blam!- the sweats, their problem for "gittin' gud". Or better yet, make a mode that if you're KD is over 1.5 you can't enter. Make it no ranks, no rewards. No reason to play but to casually fight some guardians and *gasp* have fun.

2 通の返信
Can we have our other crucible back, please? Let the pros play against the pros, and let the rest of us have fun with people around our skill level.
And here is the inherent selfishness that comes with wanting just one or the other. WE NEED CHOICE

2 通の返信Wanna fix crucible.. reduce range and ammo on 600rpm autos.. people just spamming 44 bullets to get one kill takes no skill what’s so ever and the fact they pair it with felwinters which also needs a nerf. Makes bad players get kills easier.. Also when hunters and warlocks jump full height and come crashing down they don’t get hurt, me on my Titan jumps full height I come down lose my shield and almost break my kneecaps 🤣
-
Problem is this crutch dependent community. Use every and any cheap no skill weapon and I blame bungies dumbass decision making to allow these weapons in the game. Both are to blame for the shit state of crucible. And the fact that that this shit games balancing doesnt allow you to use weapons outside of the cheap/broken ones
-
Same, all I see are flawless and unbroken titles. Why are there people with 20/0 kda ratios flying through the air with auto snipers and hitscan grenade launchers. I'm trash at pvp and just want my quests done lol. So I keep trying. Took like 9 games to get the 25 headies for ace of spades. It feels worse when you just need 1 more measly kill. Oh well.
-
10 通の返信Yeah, make the people who spend all there time to get better have a worse time in the game. Makes perfect sense.
-
I mean sbmm is gone friend. I hate to be the toxic unbroken here but there are gonna be people who are just a lot better than you or me or most people, just like there are a lot of people that aren’t. The mode where you faced people your skill level is gone and now you get to see it all. Sorry

8 通の返信Sucks that people refuse to improve. I am already pretty solid at destiny so I can’t speak on it but in other games I play that I am pretty average at, such as CSGO R6 and apex legends, whenever someone better than me shits on me it doesn’t make me not want to play. It just makes me want to get better. It makes me want to get that good. I don’t gain anything from just playing against people perfectly equal to me in skill level all the time.
-
17 通の返信Dear Bungie, I died once in PvP. Please overhaul your system so that I don’t need to improve.
-
the only thing with new system its matchmaking is awful. when you look on destiny tracker its put three or four of the players with best ELO on the same team. so regular one sided games which go to the mercy rule
