5 通の返信I honestly hope load times are completely gone for next gen consoles, considering games at launch are going to be $70 as the new standard

Its ridiculous how bad! I literally have to start loading the game 5-10 minutes before I want to play. I have spent an entire 15 minute break trying to load into a crucible match to have it start right as my break ended...15 minutes!!! To load into a single match???? This is preposterous!

1 返信I hate that it takes several seconds each time to load my character loadout screen.

Sometimes when walking into another zone while already on the planet it takes ages to load that as well. I have had it happen as well where i was in a loading zone for over an hour....just wanted to see how long it would take while watching youtube on a tablet. After an hour i gave up on the area ever loading so i went to orbit. And that has happened over 100x so far where an area never loads. Mostly it was the EDZ bunker and the area where ikora is in the tower.

I'm ok with most of the loading times if I'm on my PS4 instead of PC, but the mid level loading in patrol zones and for instance the Interference mission is what really gets on my nerves. I'm pretty sure it's not a Bungie problem. If I remember right, the PS4 only has 5 or 6 GB of RAM to divide between video and system memory despite having 8 total gigabytes.

I bought a external SSD which really helped matters. I'm not sure that things will get much better and think the console is the problem rather than Bungie. Sorry if I sound like a Bungie apologist, I assure you I'm not.

It can’t all be the hard drive. I remember Bungie pushed out a “technical debt” update many moons ago, and a good many of those long load times (menu, Director, tower, etc) saw noticeable improvements. The it slowly went back to taking an eternity for anything to happen. Sigh.

To log in on pc takes forever, after that its smooth sailing. I could never go back to how slow console is. The second anyone has a taste of the pc life, you guys would make the switch just as I did in a heart beat.

1 返信
Really bad.
Get an ssd card from Walmart. I finally tried it out, got a 256 gb for 45$. The difference is amazing, tried playing on my fiancé’s PlayStation last night who doesn’t have one and it was awful. Also if you do be sure you get a 250+ gb ssd as the PlayStation requires at least 250 for extra storage, had to return the first one I bought that was 128gb.
