See I’m going to have to disagree there. I can see both sides of the coin but personally I don’t want to have to be sweating my balls off all the time in pvp. Every so often? Sure- sweaty games can be fun. But after the 5th game like that in a row it gets super tiring
Keep sbmm in comp- competitive is in the name and it should be based on skill. Quickplay however is really just to lay back and chill in. Don’t want to have the comp experience when I’m trying to relax and have fun with friends or with random gear

Comp is a test of skill. May the best man win. Put don’t limit it based on your skill band. The best of the best should rule that mode. QP should be easy - especially when Luke smith went out of his way to say that Control is the place for new players and lower skilled players to play. You can’t set that expectation and then open the floodgates for new players to be slaughtered. Higher tiered players sure are loving the change because they have a place they don’t have to pay attention and can stomp. But lower and mid-tier players where they always had to work in SBMM, now have to completely sweat, run nothing but meta and grow another out of eyes just to get stomped and do 1/3 as well as they used to. It’s just not fun. I share my account with my son. He’s not great but could get along in crucible. After the second day, he won’t touch it. I’m a middle of the road player (don’t know exactly my KD because like I said I share an account with my boy) but my guess is 1.2 and I know we averaged 20 kills per game last season even with all his lower kill games factored in. Not great but not bad. I’m struggling to get out of single digits. This just isn’t fun.

The problem is people in general don’t do that... I see so much more spawn camping and just bs play styles in a ‘casual’ playlist that I haven’t played much crucible over the past two seasons. Decided to try crucible for this weeks means to an end and after two or three matches of survival I’d had enough of the two tapping pulses and guys doing nothing but sniping lanes... this is the playlist people say to go ‘chill’ now because QP is too sweaty. Besides the fact that 3v3 plays substantially different than 6v6 it’s like practicing golf to learn baseball better. People won’t come back for more after a few matches of being spawn camped by snipers. The one thing I do know for sure is that crucible is substantially less enjoyable than it was even two seasons ago and I don’t have much desire to engage with it anymore.
