Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our Player Support team escalated this earlier in the morning, but I wanted to be sure to let you know that your post has been seen.
As Destiny is a global community, we do our best to avoid cultural issues like this from making it into the game. Many, many apologies that this made it through. We're looking at where the breakdown in our workflow occurred, and will be looking to prevent this from happening again in the future.
Thanks again,

It’s because those outside of a culture do not immediately identify what is considered offensive by those within. I say this being an ethnic person in America, and until a poster can honestly say they have never uttered a word that might not be considered offensive to someone else they probably should stay away from the over harping of the issue. It’s not a mature look and comes across as petty. Any wise business will react to these things as these things happen. I worked for capital one during the quicksilver Samuel L. Jackson promotion. You would be surprised in the ire the word “Damn” can bring up.

People need to realize how little power "being offended" has. I'm not a fan of political correctness for the sake of being politically correct. If people are saying hurtful things to be hurtful people, then ya, that's not good. People shouldn't try to re-define words in the English language because they're offended. That's stupid. Kamikaze is not a derogatory term. It's literally a dictionary definition. You can be offended all you want, but that doesn't change reality.

The young have limited perspective on the world and have not figured it out. They will. Just takes being around and observing stuff to realize that words have no power, people give them power and people who receive them keep them empowered by accepting them. I’ve had negative labels all my life. Didn’t change me as those who said them, didn’t know me to properly define me.

Argent_Xeroにより編集済み: 5/15/2020 9:45:07 PMMy culture frowns upon reducing the value of the work we put forth as result of our efforts in the community historically because of coerced contractionary indentured servitude. Sunsetting weapons in this regard is incredibly offensive and demeaning to me and my family heritage, and should not be a part of Destiny.

No, I’m saying that they’ll listen to this bullshit but they don’t care when people say they don’t want weapons to sunset, or when people say they don’t like the seraph towers. Sorry for the misinterpretation.

Anedimeにより編集済み: 5/15/2020 9:39:08 PMAmazing. I wish I could say I lost all respect for this company, but that'd be a lie, I didn't have any left anyway. Meanwhile over two weeks ago I contacted you directly about a person being actively witchunted and singled out for harassment, didn't care enough to look into that, but this, you're right on it.

Actual people, with a family history of wronged persecution are not offended by this. We are defending it because it needs to be heard. Protecting the word only makes it into what you're trying to fight against.

What about my family that were put into concentration camps by Japan when they occupied Guam?
During World War II, many Pacific islands experienced sudden and traumatic military invasions, occupations, and in many cases destructive battles, bringing drastic change to traditional ways of life. Guam suffered a brutal Japanese occupation, a deadly three-week battle, and a rapid American military buildup. War in the Pacific National Historical Park remembers the civilians on Guam who survived the tragedy of war. 14,721 Guam civilians endured war atrocities such as forced march, forced internment, forced labor, beatings and worse. All are listed on the Asan Bay Overlook Memorial Wall of Names.
My grandmother, her parents and siblings are all listed on this wall, and the Japanese are regular tourists there because they need to know this part of THEIR culture too. It sounds like your side might've decided to vilify them, where as mine did not.
