Now I think it's very apparent that any synergy within the Titan class is focused around abilities. To me, that severely limits their neutral game, essentially putting it on a cooldown.
Now, as a Hunter main, almost exclusively have neutral game synergy that just isn't ability dependent, mostly due to my movement. Now while I'd like all classes to have ability-based synergy (), classes that only have that suffer.
So, instead of "bridging the gap" with arguably broken exotics, why don't we just make some slight adjustments to the Titan class itself? I know 1-3 below are already in effect in some way, but they need buffs.
1. Give a much stronger initial vertical boost in momentum to catapult lift. I mean make those guys take off like a rocket.
2. Give a slightly less boost to high lift. To my knowledge, this lift let's you stay in the air longer than catapult so it shouldn't be as fast.
3. Massive boost to initial momentum with strafe lift. Not enough for Titans to be able to skate by itself, but enough for fast movement and breaking the door down.
4. I hope I don't regret this, but Titans should have their own version of Icarus dash. They have freaking jump jets on their ankles. Why they lose all directional options is beyond me. This should be on a cooldown like Icarus dash and paired with the correct movement and timing, should allow the Titan to skate for a limited distance.
Hopefully with changes like these and maybe the ones in the linked post above, all classes can be celebrated by their neutral game, rather than defined by some borderline broken exotics.
Thanks for reading.
Edit: Added "Titan Buffs" in title since some people never read past that.

Soular_Sageにより編集済み: 4/24/2020 12:05:07 AMLol!!!! Nice seeing you again Wes. I like these ideas, but believe they can address Titan mobility with a small adjustment to shoulder charge. They should make so you can do a non-damaging shoulder charge to the right or left while airborne. This would be different from turning mid-air to charge. Overall I don't think adding an air dash to Titans will bode well considering that shoulder charge is a thing. Titans are a more grounded class in D2. The exception is probably middle tree striker... which is all about sliding and crashing into the ground. I honestly think they just need to address class ability balance. Since Barrier and Rift have cast animations that delay the benefit and can't be freely used during an engagement without dying, Hunter dodge will always be better. It's instant, meaning that Hunters don't have to wait for an animation to finish to benefit from the mobility that dodging offers. It also doesn't help that dodge has a much lower CD compared to the other classes. Side note on other class abilities:
I think they should reduce the cast time of Rift and Barricade and give them unique benefits that relate to their class stat. Example: Warlocks should immediately begin recovering HP at the beginning of the Rift casting animation. Similarly, Titans should be granted max resilience (jk, more like 20% damage reduction) during the barricade cast animation.
Thanks for this insight. It's refreshing hearing some positive feedback instead of just "Titans are easy mode crayon eaters, please nerf". I think these are some good recommendations. I think the barrier activation should be alittle faster but that could be a good exotic perk.

Lol, I get that you're a Hunter Main, but the problem with Titans and Warlocks is that no one at Bungie plays them so they never get any love, and when they do, Hunter Mains go bat shit crazy because they only want Hunters to get good stuff. Give a Titan One Eyed Mask, Hunters freak out. Give a Titan Anteaus Wards, Hunters freak out. Give a Titan one hit shoulder charge, Hunters freak out. Never mind that Hunters get ultra tracking skip grenades, and exotic that gives then two grenades and stupid crazy mods to give you extra grenade energy for using your grenade...yeah, totally fair. I didn't see the Hunters complaining when they reduced the damage from pulse grenades, or reduced hit detection on charges. Shieod bash has one of the worst hit detections in the game for a roaming super but you can just spam roaming Hunter supers and hit automatically hits anything in range. You want to "fix" Titans, then the hatred of anything that isn't Hunter needs to end.

Nice of you to post this, especially as a hunter main. Unfortunately the Kraft race will never stop crying because they need it to be as noob as possible. Thats why they chose the one hit kill class, yet somehow are still crying. They haven't tried the hunter class, and are therefore too ingorant to see that it also barely works. When hunters can get kills just for running, than maybe they'll need a nerf, but until then, the titan tears are truly unwarranted, although it does make my day to splash in the puddles!! -
Titans by far are the easiest class to just pickup and play. By design enemies attack from in front of you. In a 180 degree field you have the ability to erect a wall to narrow the scope of engagement by half. Your grenades are truly enviable for EVERY element. You can shoulder charge for EVERY element. Your supers are fun and varied. Some of the strongest in the game that remained broken for sooo long, they got trimmed back. You have some strong, really strong, game changing exotics. A Titan mobility spec'd at 2 will absolutely leave a hunter spec'd at 10 in the dust in an activity because of your jump that you are complaining about. I'm really confused by your need for buffs.

Let's just make one class, one gun, and one sub class so the whole game is balanced and nobody can complain. Problem solved

SpicyCurryO_Oにより編集済み: 4/22/2020 3:57:49 AMYou know what we really need? Our Subclasses to effect our god damn Barriers?! Warlocks have a bunch of upgrades and cooldown decreases for Rifts. Hunters have different things they can do with their dodge (Increase melee range, go invisible) There is absolutely nothing to syngerize with Barriers and make them better!!!! Example: Top tree Sentinel could have a upgrade where when you get Defensive Strike up, you Barrier also can tank more damage. Or if you’re using Middle Tree Sentinel, getting Detonator kills recharge your Barricade. Honestly we’re supposed to be the Tank class but I still can’t build a wall. Edit: I wanna be like god damn Reinhardt!

Dude, Bungie has been pampering Titans with so many mechanics, Exotics, and whatnot. You guys had a helmet that gave you an advantage without having to do anything but to get shot. You can one-punch everyone or just run into people. No other class gets kills handed that easy. And now you have an Exotic that ONLY requires you to slide to be invincible. So what else do you want? Oh right, I guess everything.
-
You know I tried to be impartial however all I would want is each guardian created equally in power and ability. problem is Bungie can't seem to do that. either one guardian or another seems to get numerous amounts of buffs over any other guardian and another takes Nerfs. the past three hot fixes hunters Have had all the buffs that is why even Bungie knows the majority of people are hunters. warlocks always seem to sit somewhere in the middle they get a 50-50 share of Nerfs and buffs. as of late it seems Titians are the fall guys for Nerfs the past three hot fixes titans of had their abilities nerfed and their exotic armour nerfed. back in destiny one it was supposed to be Hunters mobility, warlock's recovery and titians resilience get the best out of them. in destiny to as of late the resilience stat is trash for all of the best part. Titans need a buff, if anything for the PVE side. mainly to the toughness to make them the Titan they used to be and were meant for.
-
Slowly but surely I’m seeing more of my Titan brothers bring up some facts. Titans need love, any Titan player would know this. I hate how anytime someone brings this up, people in the forums are like “ oh but you got this and that exotic”. The truth is that Titan neutral game sucks and so bungie overcompensate by giving them cheesy and broken exotics to bring them in line with the other classes. I would like to see the actual subclasses tuned properly and not have to depend on an exotic.

i rarely play the Titan and even less the Warlock (lol never played one in d2). as far as i understood each class had an attribute advantage Titan (Resilience) Warlock (Recovery) Hunter (Mobility). did they get rid of this? Mobility i feel is always going to be an advantage in PVP, but in Raids in ain't worth sht lol. i think the Titan and Warlock have much better success than the Hunters do in many activities outside of PVP. i could be wrong though.

Erijianにより編集済み: 4/22/2020 7:09:35 PMImagine thinking Titans need a buff when they have an Exotic that wins you engagements just for sliding. While I'm not opposed to them getting buffs for their lackluster neutral game I don't think they need anything until Antaeus is gutted. Edit'd

I think we are ok. Twilight garrison would be nice. Also that damn melee registration! Especially for titans (as we punch for a living)!
