I play top striker all the time. Never touch bottom. Top's super needs to pop the wave on the initial slam, the first slam is a waste slam to open the super and people already running/floating by the time the second one comes around, that wave is SUPER helpful and needs to happen with the opening slam.

  • It used to have that funnily enough. But it at least can one shot supers if you leap and slam on them so it's not a complete waste...but it is also a free kill just for activating your super. I like top tree way more than bottom because I think it's more fun but that super does kill my mood when it burns out in a matter of seconds.

  • I've only ever used top tree. I honestly don't know what op is talking about, but I'm also old and just kill things. I thought neutral game meant passives, melees, and grenades which top tree has two of those in spades with one of them being an automatic double.

  • The aftershocks top tree creates after the initial slam when you fist of havoc again. It used to have that in year 1 of d2 but they removed it because the initial slam was too powerful. Now it's still good, but it lacks that extra shock wave and it makes it a little less safe and consistent if you incorrectly pop it on a super because the aftershock could save you in super fights and it could clean up players trying to run past you.
