Look bungie I get it power creep is hard to balance but straight up throwing our gear in the bin completely defeats the purpose of playing a looter shooter. I and many others play for growth if my gear has only a 9-15 month life span that means my growth is nothing that means my time is wasted and that translates to me taking my time and money to another game that does respect my time. Honestly I don't know who this is for a casual player that only plays the game for a short while will only have a handful of guns that they like and use might even buy a skin, do you really think that someone who probably only has a few "god rolls" is gonna like their gear getting trashed. Hard core players like me that spend hours and hours just to get the gun that they want and to repeat that processes until they have a full set will hate it for obvious reasons.

68 通の返信Then you should know that no loot game lets you get one piece of loot and then progress it through the game forever. You eventually have to leave it behind.

4 通の返信So whats the reason to grind hard lunas howl etc if these weapons get destroyed? Pinnacles should always stay. Why bother anymore? Why dont just throw whole destiny away? Bungie just looks ways to make grind more and want players to be more and more addicted. They do not care about our opinions.

1 返信It’s just a new way for them to ROTATE the meta without having to do game updates. Drop it out the game and kill the complaints because it’s only going to be bad for a time and pump new untested items in,instead of having to have many game updates and fixes which is time consuming. Frees up more devs for there new game and to make Luke smiths lunch. Bungie is pushing destiny out to sea and setting it up to be a low effort product on there end....

Division... all looter shooters have a time where they increase level caps and you need to regrind or get new gear and move on. Its part of the genre, especially if you are moving towards an RPG aspect.
I and many others play for growth if my gear has only a 9-15 month life span that means my growth is nothing that means my time is wasted and that translates to me taking my time and money to another game that does respect my time.
Did that stop you from playing D1 Y1? Cause that was all only 4 months before you had to get new gear because there was no infusion till HoW and then they got left behind again.
Honestly I don't know who this is for a casual player that only plays the game for a short while will only have a handful of guns that they like and use might even buy a skin, do you really think that someone who probably only has a few "god rolls" is gonna like their gear getting trashed.
A regular player at this point is sitting on a vault full of god rolls and aren't using them. This game throws loot at your face like its nothing so eventually you quickly get a god roll... which isn't that impressive because the weapons in this game are overall weaker than in D1... because since the beginning there was no plan for weapons to rotate out, so the team make milk-warm weapons so its not a nightmare to make new content around to quick test hundreds of weapons so they know nothing will break them (resulting in less content for the game).
Hard core players like me that spend hours and hours just to get the gun that they want and to repeat that processes until they have a full set will hate it for obvious reasons.
Hard core players have even more of a reason to support this change, Luke Smith stated that this will allow them to make much better weapons from end game activities because they won't have to worry about them breaking future content they make after almost an entire year. An entire... YEAR, that's at least double what most games allow for.

3 通の返信I wanna go to luke smiths office and throw every thing he's worked on for the last 3 yrs away and see how he feels about. Because he doesn't need. Luke smith is power keep out of control he started as a journalist and some how slides in to bungie gets to director and now he needs to be nerfed. # nerf Luke smith lol

2 通の返信Do not take this the wrong way, but your highest character is in the mid 970’s. It doesn’t look like you are working that hard to me. 😁

32 通の返信Necrogenにより編集済み: 3/1/2020 3:40:41 PMHere we go again... Did you not trash whites for greens? Greens for blues? Blues for purples? Some purples for yellows? you know why you've done so since D1 and now all of a sudden it's an issue? Yes yes, common retorts - but I did X to get this thing and I'm attached to it! And you are the only one who is going to be affected by it? This is how these games work. Out with the old and in with the new. If you can't get behind that very basic fundamental concept then you are part of the problem. The game can't assess it's inevitable issue of power creep if they listen to sentimentality. Make your peace with the guns, or the game. Your choice.

You weapons aren’t being deleted.... this is why mob mentalities aren’t product in these forums. All it takes is one guy to make a metaphor and one guy to take it as literal and we’ve got a completely different story
Whether we wanted it or not, we’ve stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let’s get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta’aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial land tank outside of Rubicon. He’s well protected, but with the right team we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold.
I made a post about this here if you want to read the whole thing, but basically my criticism is that the current RNG of the game is too harsh to put a time limit on acquiring god rolls. If there is not a fundamental rework of loot in some way to accommodate the new system of rotating gear, unlucky people will not be able to get the weapons they want before they just become obsolete.

I would say I am pretty casual and I don't like this idea anymore than you do. I didn't like it when D1 to D2 all my stuff was GONE and I don't think it's a good idea now. Casuals are not what you think my friend. We like to just have fun, we don't like the grind but we surely don't want to lose our shit, anymore than you do.

7 通の返信What's hilarious is 99% of our old stuff has zero to do with power creep Blast furnace, midnight coup and tons of others are being shelved for absolutely no reason - you want to call izanagi and pinnacle too strong? Go ahead and nerf them or have those outliers be shelved. Not the gear we worked to get for 3 years!

Give us a gun with rampage, give us another with Explosive Rounds. Rampage knocks ER out in a heart beat. There is one perk that I think would help mitigate this isssue and that is High Impact Reserve Rounds and Surrounded. These perks are influenced by weapon behavior and enemy proximity respectively, they help you out when in a pinch, it gives you the reverse card when in a nasty fight. I think these perks helps other perks shine in the battlefield instead of being over shadowed by rampage, kill clip, and such. Swashbuckler is a straight up monster, but it activates your gun's easy mode with a single punch, rather than the weapon act like "Oh shite 3 enemies jumping you at once? Here have surrounded and defend yourself" Oi let me make high caliber rounds even better by activating High Impact Reserves while your ammo runs low, that way you stagger them long enough to push a safe reload. Hey I noticed you have subsistence, here use High Impact Reserves or Surrounded to extended your fighting prowess while being outnumbered. See what I mean? Let the perks work with each other rather than let specific ones rendere others inferior the rest. Make them situational rather than always be in activate mode where you just trample everything mindlessly. Force me to be in a situation where I can use my perks and learn strategies with them rather than kill 1, 2, 3 go full on power btchslap mode.

1 返信It was a thing in D1 as well but then they changed it. So this might be there for a while and then they'll change it again. In absence of real creativity this works as an artificial way to force change.

6 通の返信Destiny is an Mmo now. This is expected. What I will not tolerate is if they release the weapons we already had today in an updated version down the road.

7 通の返信You guys are ridiculous with this one 9 -15 months is a long time to use weapons and very reasonable to retire weapons if ur using the same weapons after that long then u r not playing the game to its full ability
