Everytime we visit Saint-14 he's always talking about how he walks the streets of the city, helping and chatting with the people all around him
This entire season keeps focusing on the fact that a Guardian at the end of the day is fighting for humanity above all else
But as players we don't get that connection
We don't play soccer with children, we don't help builders make new homes, we don't sit and chat with shop owners
We don't interact with the citizens, so how are we supposed to actually make a natural and meaningful connection to what we're apparently fighting for in this game?
How cool would it be if we the city was this one massive social space. But instead of vendors there are "patrols" and each one sees us helping the people of the city. Maybe there could be rewards or lore pieces hidden about the city streets? Maybe we could see iconic city locations in the lore like the consensus building or the dodge ball field?
If players could actually INTERACT with the thing we're supposedly fighting for, maybe more people would actually care about the plot other then lore nerds like myself?

1 返信They should also add more Crucible maps in the city (maybe an abandoned section of rooftops like in SoTP)

I would love to get missions to get materials to help the people rebuild the city or hunt food for them. And I want the bounty and quest to be given to me by the people and NOT by the Vanguard, who just use the player as a mercenary.

There should be a 3 or 6 man match made activity that focuses on defeating enemies outside of the city walls and has some mission to it (like collecting resources for the city or defeating a wanted enemy) this activity should have specific activity loot and maybe a hidden exotic quest that would be reworded to us to help defend the city

1 返信Imagine if hidden guns were scattered around the place. And maybe our actions could affect the City

62 通の返信Thanks for the suggestion. This has been recommended in the past. I'll let the team know that there is still interest in seeing the city made into a playable space in a future update. You mentioned having patrols, iconic locations, and hidden lore. Anything else you would like to see if this is something we add in the future?

4 通の返信"Been down to the city lately guardian? See what you're fightin' for?" ~ Amanda Holliday No, I haven't Amanda. Mainly cuz I can't.

6 通の返信What if this could also be expanded upon if you make the last city “upgrade-able”? Like you could do a short quest or gather materials to rebuild structures, and that would give your guardian access to bonuses of some sort. Like what if we could rebuild a barber shop and that would let us edit our guardian’s appearance? Or a restaurant that would give you stat or cooldown bonuses in PvE if you ate there before an activity? Purely wishful thinking I know, but there’s a lot of possibilities with a concept like this, I like it :)

19 通の返信You know this is a video game right? You can do these things IRL. This is why I only let my 7 year old play a couple hours a week.

3 通の返信Damn Winter! I'm pretty sure you lack daylight. Make yourself a tea, take a break and start a SIMS game.

I wish more people paid attention to the lore and enjoyed it as I assume you do and I know I do. Great suggestions. I felt factions somewhat brought us that sense of being involved with the City in some way but after they left it's hard to connect to the City anymore. Possibly bring back Factions, just not Faction Wars, as a suggestion too?

1 返信This would be really cool, but do you realize how much development would need to go into this kind of thing? It would require an insane level of detail that Bungie can’t just do on the side. If they would do it, everything else in the game would need significantly less attention. Also, it can’t just be a pointless zone for exploration. While that sounds fun, the reality is that most players wouldn’t even go more than a few times. It would need to have an objective for it to be successful.

9 通の返信Just a quick question for bungie..... Why is the Wall not some sort of horde mode ? We have fallen , cabal , taken and hive on earth .... I would love to mindless lay waste to all those enemies..

4 通の返信So.....would there be like, you know, a red light district down there? Just sayin’. And don’t act like you haven’t wondered!

1 返信Stfu with your interesting idea in reality, and just purchase silver, you rebel scum. ~Bungie.

Yup agreed, interacting with people would make the game much more enjoyable and alive. Also, would love to have locations like a little island for instance during Solstice of Hero where we can also do some unrelated fun stuff like playing beach volleyball, water sparrow racing (micro mini would be perfect)... a girl can dream

1 返信This is brilliant. I can imagine myself doing bounties for families who need objects or food and can pay me with things i need that they have collected etc etc that's exactly what this game is missing.
