My suggestions to buff them is too
1. Give them more reserves ( about 3-4 more rockets )
2. Increase the damage of the rocket ( by a substantial amount )
3. Most importantly increase the RELOAD of rockets,
4. Give them better tracking like a lot of better tracking.
I feel like I can give some advice after tormenting myself in them damn nightfalls so many rockets deflected and eaten by then barrier and overload champion s. So many rockets side stepped so so many 😔. I've been using zenobia and two tailed for quite some time in nightfalls and other daily activities.
Giving the tripod won't do much you'll be shooting 3 crap rockets and you might as well use a grenade launcher at that point
Increasing the tracking of the rocket will stop taken captain, harpies, or even enemies dodging the rocket just by walking or jogging even big ultra bosses dodges the damn rocket.

Thanks for the feedback, Slender! For a few of your feedback points, have you tried different perk sets? Field Prep gives quick reload when crouched and a bigger backpack of ammo. There are also perks that help with tracking for rockets that specifically have that ability. I'll be sure to pass the feedback along to the team.

All they really need to do is diversify the types of rockets more. Need one type that has a huge add clearing blast (HE/ anti personnel, fragmentation ?), one that has a low blast but deals high direct hit damage (shape charge/anti armor), one that is relatively poor at both but has high reserves and reload speed (maybe give this one some blind/disorientate effects or similar), and one that is well rounded. I’d also like to see some kind of special ammo rocket type that has access to special ammo perks that do stuff like detonate into napalm, some kind of arc storm (like the pulse grenade, some kind of vortex grenade that pull enemies in, explosive seeker drones, ect. I can accept that these may have to be exotics though. See videos of the reworked D1 dragon’s breath for the napalm. It was fun to use and a pretty cool effect, but not the most effective. If the napalm lit enemies on fire (sticky fire) and also spread when enemies got close to each other (add an confuse effect to the AI in there) then it would have been more effective.

They already increased the reload speed. Any faster it will be like outlaw on rocket launcher. Stop asking for things to make activities easy mode.

1. Rockets can no longer damage the player/massively reduced self inflicted damage with rockets 2. Added the perks: Clown cartridge, spray and play, army of one, tripod, feeding frenzy, box breathing (modified) 3. Massively reduced flinch while aiming with rocket launchers 4. Unnerfed cluster bombs 5. Increased magazine size for some RL's (20 & 25 RoF archetypes) 6. Increased reserves 7. Massively reduced damage fall off from rocket detonations so high blast radius RL's have a purpose 9. Increased damage 10. Buffs properly distributed to exotic RL's for better balance

I'm not sure why they can't bring them to near the same dps as grenade launchers.

As much as I love rocket launchers, Linear Fusions are the power weapon that needs a buff first

Swords and Rocket Launchers are both generally disappointing. Funny how we went from only ever Swords and Rockets to Grenade Launchers and the ocassional Wardcliff. It would be nice to see some of the old Exotic Swords back, along with a buff to Rockets. Maybe then they'd be part of the PvE meta.

More damage and better tracking would be ideal. You can compensate for things like blast radius with cluster bomb or reload with field prep and auto-loading holster, but rocket damage is pretty bad for how easy it to miss. Precision frames already won't benefit as much from a damage buff due to naturally low blast radius, so better tracking would maintain their niche.

Why bother ? Warcliff and Truth would still be the only usable rockets. I mean I am all for buffing rockets (especially two tailed fox with better tracking) but warcliff and truth will have to be completely excluded from the buffs. You got warcliff which is a I win shotgun in crucible and truth in gambit that is just as bad if not worst than queenbreaker was in gambit. So yes to rocket buffs as long as they do not apply to warcliff and truth.

Give rockets the ability to hold 5 per mag. Also, give clusterbomb rockets the ability to 1-tap raid bosses.
-
Rockets with cluster bombs were all the rage a few seasons back. Rockets may not come back into prominence until Destiny 3.
-
Ok barrier or nightmares eat everything like it’s a good Chinese buffet. I will say allow us another mod slit just for seasonal mods. I shouldn’t have to sacrifice my good gun build for an enemy here and there.
