Explain MMOs like WoW/FFXIV raiding then. Because people do enjoy that challenge. You think D2 raids have ridiculous mechanics? Lol. No. They are baby's first raids compared to raiding in general.
Raids have never been made for solo players, they are for groups and raiders. Most games have an in-game LFG system to get solo players interested in the content to be able to participate, but you still gotta learn.

RoninPhoenix650により編集済み: 10/28/2019 6:30:21 AMWhat are you talking about? “Explain WoW raids”, are you just banking an nobody reading your post to have actually done a WoW raid? Well here I am to correct you. I have done many raids in WoW and they are nowhere close to as complicated as destiny. 90% of the raid fights are basic tank and spanks with maybe, just maybe, some cleansing needed by the alt heals. The most “complicated” it gets for any dps role is moving out of the aoe location. The tanks only have to watch an aggro meter then taunt or consecrate or what have you when needed. The hardest role is healer after the first expansion every healer class had a heal over time which made everything insanely easier. What WoW did right was have raids be stat checks like destiny should be. Tanks had to have enough health, armor, and resists. Healer had to have enough mana, mana per 5, and bonus healing. Damage had to have either mana and mana per five plus bonus damage, or stamina and health plus bonus damage. Destiny needs to adopt that instead of this ridiculous idea of “jump here then here” idea. How much damage you can do or take makes very little difference.

Matchmade raids are something people who have never truly raided want. Especially in this game as it is more communication heavy than in other games. ( FFXIV is the only one i have experience with outsie of Destiny) Could you imagine doing the riven heart run witthout any communication on the timer? or basically assigning spots anywhere? Yeah you could say " just use a party" but there will be a lot of people in matchmaking who will not join, hell i have seen a few in LFG already. I totally understand why people want it but without any guaranteed way of communicating it wont work ( yeah i know PC has text chat but console doesn't for some reason)

RoninPhoenix650により編集済み: 10/28/2019 6:21:51 AMI have done every raid in D1 every single week, I have also done a good chunk of D2 raids. Matchmaking should exist. Period. You don’t have to use it if you don’t want to. This idea of “it won’t work” is flat out absurd. A group of deaf people were featured for having completed a raid. That’s merely an extreme example, you’re not deaf are you? Only people who don’t actually have raid experience think “you have to communicate”. In all the raids I have ever done it was actually rare for anyone to have to speak. You get to a point where you anticipate the next steps and just do them. You learn timing. Short version, your raid party should be silent for 99% of a raid anyways as long as things are going as they should. The other 1% should be simple sentences. Like “r1” or “arc - void 2 solar”. Also, almost every other major group based game has vote to kick features. If you get someone who refuses to put a mic on, kick him with a 4 vote required feature.

Luna's Meowにより編集済み: 10/28/2019 2:26:24 PMMy guess is you have never tried to matchmake a raid before? lemme tell you it is hell. And your example of the deaf people isn't really fair since they were already a co-ordinated group beforehand no a bunch o randoms. While i may not have raided much in D2 you can definitely see i have raided a lot in D1 and FFXIV, links can be given if you don't believe me.

It is fair. Unless you are trying to say that not knowing someone is worse than being deaf, which is absurd. Also, yes I have “matchmade” a raid before I. The watered down version we got with guided games. Every point I made still stands. Even if I granted you the ridiculous idea that no matchmade group would ever get it done, which is false, you’re still not required to do it. It’s their time not yours.
-
The point is since the deaf people were an organised group they could practice all the time they wanted, matchmade groups would be on limited time and most likely would go their seperate ways after it. Now i do think that if they had an in-game LFG that would pretty much solve all of that, not really sure why they don't tbh. Never once did i say "no matchmade group would ever get it done", i'm saying it is very unlikely. Ofcourse if someone spent hours and hours constantly replacing people then yeah they'd probably get it done that way too but the people complaining there are too many mechanics in raids are the same people who would not have time to do such a thing. Point is, Matchmaking is not the solution, in-game LFG is by-and-far a superior solution

Your illusion of matchmaking in raid will work is amazing. If you want to have mm just use guided games. Mm in raids is a horrible idea. Guided games was the biggest turnoff ever. People not joining the party. Either you lag or they lag. People who think they get carried through it was also a problem. Nobody was researching what the hell they where doing. How is anyone gonna complete a raid when all these factors are a thing
-
Literally everything you just spewed was already addressed in my original post. All you did was repeat the same garbage people have been repeating for years, all of which has been disproven over and over and over again. The ACTUAL only reason it doesn’t already exist is to add another superficial layer of difficulty before a raid is even attempted.

You didn't make any valid points that make sense. Maybe in your head but that's it. You are like a donkey. In intelligence and reasoning. You just won't listen to the crowd. There are some people who played destiny 1 including me where the whole raid system works because we take the effort to find a team. That you are to lazy to get a team together is nobodies fault. You can just go on lfg and find people. It's so easy even I can do it. Go and try it out for yourself😂
-
Lmao. You assume you have done more raids than I have in D1. The likelihood of that is insanely low. If you’re so attached to the log then keep using it. You have yet again not said anything of substance. Every valid point I have made has remained unchanged and unchallenged by you. You would like to pretend you have but all you have really said is “nuh uh” and “shoving it down my throat”. Which is odd how fascinated you are by that phrase. If you can’t handle reality, because that’s what is “shoved down your throat” then the problem is, was, and shall remain you.

The irony. Try again. Read what I said slower. Here I’ll just break it down for you, I never said that you said anything. I stated a clear and obvious fact the you made an assumption. Once more for clarity. I did not say that you said something, I said that you DID something.
