Instead of typing one long paragraph I'm going to divide this into a few different parts for easy consumption. Issue: There are two Exotic Heavy Snipers that use Heavy Ammo. Also existing in the heavy slot is one Exotic, Queenbreaker's Bow, and every other Linear Fusion rifle in the game. This is excluding Sleeper Stimulant. Why this is an issue: There exists, in the game, a Kinetic Special sniper that can out DPS every heavy sniper in the game, as well as the Linear Fusion rifles of the game. It's name is Izanagi's Burden. This call out isn't to shout for a nerf to Izanagi's, but to urge Bungie to bring Whisper of the Worm, D.A.R.C.I., and every Linear Fusion Rife (Minus Sleeper Simulant) out of the Heavy weapon slot and into the Special Weapon slot. Reasons to do so: - Izanagi's Burden out DPSs Exotic Heavy Sniper Rifles/Linear Fusion. This makes those Exotic Heavy Sniper Rifles irrelevant. For something that's in the heavy slot, you should expect them to be a heavy weapon and be able to out DPS a Special Weapon. - Said Exotic Snipers/Linear Fusion Rifles can not insta-kill in Crucible unless it's a head shot. Unlike Sleeper and Izanagi's (with perk active x2) they cannot one-shot-kill a target in Crucible. Sleeper Simulant can. Leviathan's Breath can. Izanagi's (with perk active x2) can. Once again, it makes these heavy weapons irrelevant. - Like regular Special Snipers, these weapons require a headshot to kill someone and can not one-shot-kill a target in the body. - Alongside these Linear Fusion rifles exists their big brother, Fusion Rifles. These Fusion Rifles, regardless of a headshot or bodyshot, kill a target provided perks and a number of bolts actually hit the target. For a Heavy Weapon, Linear Fusion rifles can't kill a target without a headshot. But it's a heavy weapon. Leviathan's Breath can body shot, and has a similar "charge time" as Linear Fusion rifles. Sleeper Simulant also can one-shot-body shot regardless of where it hits. All of these weapons exist in the heavy slot, but there are obvious reasons to chose anything else over these Exotic Snipers and Linear Fusion Rifles. Solution: Move D.A.R.C.I., Whisper of the Worm, and all Linear Fusion Rifles (except Sleeper Simulant) into the special slot and change nothing about their DPS output.
