Is it currently doing it after forges for you? Because after the latest little update I've noticed that when a forge is over and I wait for the matchmaking circle to pop up, then I hit B (on Xbox) I'm immediately returned to orbit. So I was thinking that they fixed it.

I'm pretty sure Forge matchmaking is screwed up, because it runs exactly counter to the way matchmaking works in any other PvE activity that has matchmaking: it deliberately throws solo players into a Forge with no other teammates, and takes so long to add more people that the timer runs out before the one solo player can get enough batteries to keep the timer going... and then manages to add two new players just after the match has ended. And then the counterintuitive move that _breaks up_ the team that literally just got assembled and starts the matchmaking all over again, even though there was literally a matchmade team _right there_ in that last Forge, and Bungie could have just coded the game to restart that last Forge with a full team. It's like Bungie coded Forge matchmaking to do its darnedest to ensure that Forges don't get completed very often, especially for newbies and solo players, almost like a kind of artificial throttling mechanism to prevent people just farming Forges endlessly too easily. I can't think of any other reason to code Forge matchmaking the way they did, it has to be deliberate. /or Bungie are even worse devs than I imagined :P

It should definitely be optional matchmaking either way: if people want to solo a forge, or just don't want to play with others, they should be able to. I don't know what Bungie have against giving their customers choices, but I guess they think they know what's best for us. :P

I’ve done 3 forges and succeeded all 3 times. 2 times it was right about halfway through the vex one, the third was at the start of the cabal one. Maybe you just have bad timing/luck. But yea it shouldn’t break up teams if they don’t leave.
