I can tell you from experience it is worth it. Plus, the “Biotic Enhancements” buff lingers for a while, so you just have to be near 3 enemies for a small bit then you can solo slam another player.
And the super can kill any other super in the game, so if you’re not right next to them (activation time is a turd) you can kill anyone.

Except an arcstrider that is blocking. I tested this with my friend and yes thundercrash counts as a projectile if you hit them head on. The hunter deflection also somehow reduces damage from the wave if they are are blocking from the source of the damage
