Borderlands 3 didn't kill Destiny 2
Well, Borderlands 3 is out and Destiny 2 isn't dead, so there goes another Destiny killer.

Destiny isn’t a game that can be killed. At least not by another game. People said that warframe, division (and division 2), anthem (rip) and now borderlands 3 would all kill the game. Truth be told there’s only one thing that can kill destiny. And that’s destiny itself.

Today I logged into D2 saw it was IB, looked at the 3 left in my guild all stacked with Recluse/MT and knew it was going to be one of those keyboard smashing sweaty pee vee peeing weeks so I logged off and headed back to the entertaining B3.

Define Kill U wake up one morning, and you are the only person online across the world?? If this is your interpretation each time a new title launches, and people claim it'll wipe destiny, u need to have a word with yourself. People leave destiny cos they're bored, to play other titles, take a break and other shit. Some come back, some don't. Numbers dwindle, and spike on new content. Destiny isn't going to die, regardless of what title launches. We just see numbers go up and down, nothing more than that.

A wallet that expected nothing more than the beggar to keep its word. Bungie had to give one seat on their board to a chinese money laundering corporation in exchange of a pitiful $100mln check that are used for the development of an Asian dedicated mobile game. Bungie lost all star employees, from raids to pvp to music to lore. Bungie went from a high of 30mln registered players and over 6mln active, to avg 500k logging on a 3M rolling window. Ahhh the flat earth theorist are fascinating.

5 通の返信Yesterday, Iron Banner last event of the season begins. ~284k PvP. Yea, BL3 didn't kill this game: Destiny 2 killed D2. MEANWHILE - players in droves are playing BL3 among other games (Diablo 3, fill in the blank_______) .

13 通の返信BL3 is a whole different game compared to destiny. Sure both are looter and shooter game but BL3 is more about fun rather then stress when it comes to comp or PvP.

4 通の返信TBH BL3 is the first game I've played since D1 Vanilla that has me considering dropping Destiny all together. With college and a job I am struggling to find the time to really enjoy both games and I'm currently leaning towards focusing on BL3 instead of D2.

Really enjoying borderlands 3 and will be for a while, not finished yet and still loads to do, I never would have played destiny was it not for the original borderlands. Bungie should take notes on weapon design, subclasses, builds. It focusses on power fantasy and feels fun. Not having PvP does make some of the above much easier though. I will play some of both games.

7 通の返信I've said this in every thread moved here from the Density forum. The only game that will "kill" Destiny is Destiny. And so far it has been going a great job of completing this goal. It's a slow death, but a death just the same.
