Friday, 09/06 I received a notice that my account has been restricted from matchmaking against other players in the crucible and gambit. Reading bungie.net help topics, the only measure that could explain my case would be connection performance issues.
I am a player from South America in Brazil for a one year, where there are no servers and can only play on North American servers usually at 230ms having no measures to optimize this.
I would like to know why I received this restriction since I do not had any change in my internet performance, as you say temporarily, for how much longer, since a week has passed and if you could somehow remove this restriction.
Your 230ms latency means you are pretty laggy. If you cannot improve that latency, then you need to refrain from playing pvp/gambit until you can.
Typically, a connection based restriction starts at 2 weeks if it’s your first time getting a restriction. A 2nd restriction is 2 months. A 3rd is permanent.
I doubt it’s your ping that earned your restriction, but more likely packet loss or bandwidth below the minimum 1Mbps U/D that is needed.
Play on a wired connection, and consider upgrading your Internet if you are not on a plan that delivers at least one megabit per second up and down. If you’re near those minimum requirements, make sure not to use other applications or allow others to download or upload over the same connection you’re playing on, or it will use the bandwidth that you need to maintain a stable connection.
