Why does this require a post body in order to post.

Ohgod majority of the playerbase says no? Like goddamn these same people go around posting about their hate for broken shit and then don't want the broken shit to be nerfed. The double standards on display here.

Silverdoveにより編集済み: 9/13/2019 11:53:03 AMI solo everything, which means i do not have recluse. I think the issue here is not that weapons need nerfing, but need to be accessed for all players. It may sound daft but when bungie creates quest steps that take you into the crucible it becomes game incorporated. Or the player has no choice if they like pvp or not. People may say that you do not have to do those quests, and to an extent i would agree. However if you count up quests and quest steps that lead you into pvp then a large part of the game is unwanted by players. Which brings me nicely to solo play, it is my preference, it should not be deemed a fault. This game needs to encompass every player to be able to gain every weapon making the playing field even. Nerfing something players earned is a punishment to those players working for a reward. Instead every weapon should have opportunities to acquire than just one set of parameters. I moan about catalyst drops in crucible, so i get my butt handed to me on many occasions. Now Bungie is amazingly tight fisted at allowing them to drop which adds to players frustration in an already frustrating game. Bungie needs to add fun back into the game. Give greater access to all players and play type. If a quest step takes into an mode such as crucible you should at least be armed with weapons suitable, and not feel like a lame duck. Titles can be earned, emotes can be earned but weapons fitted to one side of play puts it out of reach to other players. That way pvp players can brag about their prowess in crucible but that prowess will always be earned and not slaughter city because players do not get pinnacle weaponry. It would balance the game. Or remove weapons that create such chaos in pvp.

Yes. When one gun becomes a staple in both areas of the game regardless of mode, it's broken. It shouldn't be killed, because it is a pinnacle, but it needs to be toned down. It kills way too fast, it's basically kill clip, but better.

michaelにより編集済み: 9/12/2019 8:30:02 AMIf you don’t think so you are kind of clueless in my opinion. It doesn’t take the biggest brain to realize that master of arms is the best singular perk in the history of the game. It puts every other energy weapon and even every primary completely and utterly to shame. Even genuinely good weapons like the curated nation of beasts and curated kindled orchid, both of which were very sought after in black armoury, are total trash in comparison. It is just too good to exist because you never have to use anything else, ever. The recluse being how it is now is just unhealthy for the game. You can not even come close to its performance with any other weapon and that is a problem for balance.

I'm against pinnacle weapons being substantially better than anything else that can drop in the game, if only because it sets exactly the kind of conditions which leads people to cheat, win-trade, DDoS, and sell carries and recoveries. It's one thing if Bungie were willing to buff other underused guns and weapon archetypes so that they can compete with OP pinnacles (which is what I would prefer) but since they won't, it leaves no option but toning down OP pinnacles so that they are only marginally better than anything else in the game. There needs to be a way to incentivize people playing Comp without dangling OP weapons in front of people, or putting guns in the game that not only make bad players much harder to kill, but makes it almost impossible to kill good players. I'm fine with having certain, easily accessible guns in the game that are easy to use for newbies (eg. Bygones, Trust, Service Revolver, etc.), to bridge the skill gap between newb and seasoned veteran, but no gun should be so good that when put in the hands of someone skilled, it entirely unbalanced the game, nor should any gun be so good that it makes an otherwise bad player capable of consistently besting more skilled/more seasoned players.

For PvP... No, you have to chain kills and are completely outgunned by Last Word without MoA active. I can see an argument for PvE, but for PvP, I'm against it, since it reaches to only about 15 meters a lot of the time, and neither perk is active unless you're getting kills.

Nope In pvp its basically a SMG with kill clip In pve it's amazing and sgouldnt be touched
-
It's actually not as good as I expected it to be in PVP. I mean, it's good, but I was expecting it to be amazing. I kinda prefer my Breath of the Dragon over it with tap the trigger and zen moment. The only thing it gets outclassed in is range. So, no, it's not even close to needing a nerf.
-
I dont get why you want to nerf everything. How about you just get the gun and get used to it? Shadowkeep is coming up with a lot of buffs on every gun. Have you gun ever cared about the people that are suffering on the PvE side? Those that cant get the weapon I beg you to just hold on for a bit more until shadowkeep is out and see how the buffs goes, then you can judge.

I think pinnacles should be more like trophy weapons. They should have standout designs when playing but have similar ttk as every other weapon in its class and be more so like a curated weapon instead of an exotic level
-
The only change recluse needs is to not Self Proc master of arms. Other than that it’s a great weapon. Make it a clean up weapon not a main. You shouldn’t be able to run into a room with it alone and clean up 4 people because self procing MoA. You snipe someone proc it and clean up whoever is around. Then go back to sniping. Self procing is what is making it over used
-
Recluse does need a nerf, but not in damage, just make the perk proc on a kill by itself, not by other weapons you have.
-
Or, make the master of arms perk available on other weapons? Imagine that on an autorifle, or a scout.
-
let’s start this with: It’s a grind in PvP and I‘m sure more people use it in PvE than PvP. a PvE nerf might be acceptable. I don’t hate the weapon or anything it’s just that it’s better than the most add clearing weapon including the exotics!
