Last night after clearing my cache by unplugging my Xbox something went wrong and my HDR settings changed the white versus black levels on the brightness meter. After some tinkering I finally found a fix to use SDR settings in HDR 10. 1. □ HDR 10 (uncheck) in Xbox Settings. 2. Quit Destiny 2 and close the App 3. Launch Destiny 2 4. Now that you are in SDR mode go into settings and change Destiny 2 to brightness level 4. 5. Log out to character select screen and then quit the game and close the app. 6. ■ HDR 10 (checked) in Xbox Settings. 7. Now launch Destiny 2 and do not touch the brightness settings from this point because you have set them to the default levels from the SDR mode of the game. In my experience if you move the sliders even one tick to one side or the other it will ruin your HDR experience.
