So I finally got this Cigilance Wing catalyst done 250 pvp kills and some medal I cant remember. Needless to say I played exclusively with an pulse rifle for 250 final blows in Quickplay and it was an experience worth... forgetting. TL;DR in spoiler below if you want to skip this. [spoiler] TL;DR The catalyst isn't worth the grind because the gun is trash. It's a fun activity but as usual the reward is rubbish. [/spoiler] Ok to begin with, I did QP and mostly play it with my hunter or titan (yes with the meta) using pulse, fusion sniper or shotty sniper meta. I normally let others take heavy and protect them while they destroy the opponents. My ka/d is positive but k/d isn't but hey I can't stop people from stealing my kills and vice versa. Naturally when the vigilance wing catalyst dropped I thought why not as it's boring anyway. So I went around and played as many random qp matches as possible with solo queue. Needless to say the state of pvp isn't good and it gets worse if you self impose a mediocre gun handicap. Bygones, blast furnace, chattering bone are much better than this exotic. Getting out ranged with NF is also fun, service revolver, DFA, too many to list can out gun this exotic so it is a bad gun. All this catalyst gives you is auto fire which for a 540 pulse is ok as it makes it faster than good AR with a bigger magazine. Handling is rubbish both horizontal and vertically. My 'Right side of wrong' with range and targeting adjuster mod is way better and focused than this. Being exotic it can't have mods so you can't upgrade it. I don't know what the idea was behind this catalyst but it should have been more that auto fire (btw I knew about the extra perk before starting the grind because it shows in catalyst description). Better handling or stability would have been preferential choice to make this gun useful. In the end, this grind has put me off to continue with my Luna grind (already got my recluse and on 2nd step of Luna for solar kills) as I see pvp is just bad and infested with lag, 50/50 selective logic and bad match making algorithm. The gun will probably be more useful in pve just like my recluse but I doubt that as it eats an exotic slot... so the only slot I can think of for this gun is my vault which had more space due to latest patch.
