No they weren't you mark .. Bungie needs to change how raid bosses sit still to be abused .. Until datto made a video not a single person said a damn thing about lunafactions and rally barricade.. This same person hasnt even said hey we need boss fights to be more difficult and actually challenging where our skill is tested .. Bungies definition of a challenge is to Nerf the players .. And marks like you applaud this nonsense

He made the video(s) after he clearly abused the weapons and abilities for the entire Season. Why is it some players do not start to complain until others start using the same weapon or strategies? I say let the rest of the community enjoy the same cheese.

I agree bosses need a change but so do some strats. Rally barricade nerf im unhappy about because rally's only use was reload. Rift had other uses rather than insta reload. I didn't actively voice against it because it helped everyone but I understand the nerf. If you build encounters based around stuff like luna's, and the best weapons, etc. then it is outrageously difficult for any other loadout and that shouldnt be the case. Raid bosses shouldnt be only reasonably defeated with one or two loadouts. But at the same time dont make it so like a damn sidearm can be used to dps. We need a healthy middleground. My opinion is we need more oryx styled fights. Set damage rather than dps races. Another idea I LOVE is basically survive for x amount of time against an immune boss who dies at the timer or something. But the forums just get up in arms to immediately attack Bungie for this without looking at the situation fully. Think about it like this: Everyone says if most of the PvP community is using basically the same stuff (NW pre nerf, OEm Prenerf and thankfully not as much but still now, spectral rpe nerf,, drb, lh prenerf, etc.) that it needed a nerf. It showed unbalance. And now that argument is suddenly void here. Well luna's is in EVERY raid team. At least one but most typically 2+ in each raid. Every. Raid. And also this makes Whisper much more relevant.

The worst part about all of this is that this coming Nerf/rework to how lunafactions and rally work was never a thing until datto made that video.. And what pisses me off more is that him or other big destiny streamers have never said "hey bungie we want raid bosses that fight us and that don't sit still"

Yes but you realize, regardless of what came out Datto’s mouth, bungie was going to make that change. There are perks in this game that are completely useless/negated when there is a well lock in the room. It’s an unhealthy meta.

You make valid points .. It just boggles my mind that they Nerf us to create more of a "challenge" .. Like if they did what I said we would have never been doing the amount of damage that we do... We will find a way to one phase bosses for as long as they refuse to stop making bosses that sit still to be abused by us

It's not to create more challenge, its to open things up a little, make more weapons, armour and abilities useful. If there is one de facto method that works better than everything else, then nothing else will be used. It therefore makes sense to make that one method less effective, so alternatives become more viable. I'm always intrigued by how people take nerfs... All of these make sense, 100%. Of course you can talk about changing raid boss behaviour, but which of the two do you think is easier to implement? Raid encounters have been engineered in a particular way, whereas weapon/armour/ability combos are emergent. Thinking this way doesn't make me a 'mark', it just means I see the whole picture. Going forward, Bungie may well create more dynamic raid or boss encounters, but for now I don't see any nerf that has raised an eyebrow, they all seem perfectly reasonable given the current state of the game

I’ve got one example more relevant rather than PvP. The warden of nothing strike. The boss fight believe it or not actually is pretty difficult if you don’t melt him. The arena flare thing from boss along with basically another boss and tons of ads. It’s expertly made. But everyone melts with well and like Goldie. I’m thinking start with smaller nerfs to players and more mechanic heavy bosses that aren’t dps races. Riven would’ve been perfect but you can just melt with rockets.

People including me were hating on auto reload long before datto made a video. This is just like the nerfs that happened this season, community outrage, people saying they will quit the game, then they do nothing.
