Reuse current PC installation to speed up Steam migration?
When we move to Steam, can we hope that it would be smart enough to reuse (rehash) existing data files or would it still need to download a gazillion gigabytes? It makes from an engineering perspective that it does, unless the Steam API requires (or recommends) a different packaging method. Either way, would like to know. It's not a big deal, but if I can start playing at launch as opposed to an hour or two later, it would be appreciated.
