Look, I fully endorse the idea that some weapons and armor should be only for the best players who are able to complete the most difficult tasks. But having to continually grind through PVP to get just about every good gun really sucks. I say this as someone who is, admittedly, terrible at PVP. I don't deny it for a second. I am truly terrible in the crucible, and having to go in and get hand cannon kills against coordinated teams using snipers, grenade launchers and shotguns is getting worse and worse all the time.

Bieltanにより編集済み: 8/25/2019 6:47:40 PMAce of Spades? Its a handful of headshots. Its really really not that bad. At all. Heres the thing: nobody starts off good at PvP. Nobody. Not in any game ever. And you wont GET good if you avoid it because your ego cant handle losing to other people in a game whilst you get the hang of it. You should have seen me when I first started playing CoD. I was happy if I got a few kills. Hell I got 10 in one match and I was chuffed as hell for DAYS. 😂😂😂 Suck it up, dont let stats, stat-hounds, saltbags and all that bollocks bother you. Its a game. With persistence, a little humility and willingness to identify and learn from mistakes... you might just surprise yourself. It wont happen overnight, but it'll happen. PS: the only stats that mean anything are "recent performance" stats.

Which gun exactly are you talking about? You mention hand cannon kills so I assume it might be Lumina or Thorn (if you meant Luna or NF then sorry those are only for good PVP players, their friends and those who pay them, or cheaters, etc). I'm terrible at PvP too but I got the Lumina step done in like 3 matches because team kills count and everyone is using hand cannons because it's the meta these days. As for Thorn, I used void weapons like Graviton Lance, Epicurean, Hammerhead, Bad Omens and Voidwalker class in general. Takes longer but does the job.

First of all, PVP is a whole third of the game and there are players who really like PVP but don't like PVE and they have to deal with a lot of their quests being in PVE, you can ask the same thing the other way around and it will be just as absurd. PVP and PVE both exist, they both deserve a fair share of quests, calm down

I didn't mind the PVP in D1, at times I actually played it for fun. In D1 one of the quests called for something like 7 headshot kills with HC in a single match. I don't think I've had anything that difficult in D2. D2 PVP is pretty bad, a few maps need work, some stuff is so OP it's hard to contend with unless you are using it. And you can't go 5 minutes without some PVP requirement in a quest. At one point I had 5 or 6 quests for gambit and crucible stuff. I used the last IB to finish most of them up. Try to play it when alot of people are on like weekends or after school time. I don't know why some many people make it PVP vs PVE. How would you handle exotic quests? If they were PVE only they would end up being pretty boring, do 100 patrols... It would be kewl if there were choices, 20 rumble kills or completes 5 NF's. I always like killing 2 birds with 1 stone. (grind for a weapon and complete an exotic bounty step). I think the exotic that drop from activities should drop anywhere in the game, having a higher chance in Trials or Raids. Raids / Trials should have good weapons for the activities they were earned in. When I play a Raid I want to struggle the 1st few times, until I get some drops that make things easier.

You mean every gun you want. If you want a gun that requires pvp but don’t want to play pvp... well it’s pretty obvious what will happen.
You don’t get the gun without effort.
Bungie is stupid! They have a DLC exotic that requires you to finish the campaign ONLY to go into PvP to unlock the damn thing. I regret buying Forsaken because now that quest is never going to be finished. I’m not that bad but I’m not good either. Then on top of that, we have coordinated teams using shotguns, snipers, and rockets. F*ck you Bungie!

I understand that you gotta work to get the guns but my God, the ace of spades quest to get 25 headshots was really painful for me, and it's not like I have garbage aim or anything (I was a diamond in overwatch, now currently masters on console), it was hard to do with all the tryhards using truth and whatever

Have the copy paste in my notes just for this post
PvE players: -Have to play PvP for a total of 3(three) PvE meta weapons, two of which are pinnacles and are therefor not at all RNG dependant -PvP exotic quest steps are very short and easy to do even for the casual player, once again they are also a set task and not RNG dependant -Almost every activity in the director is PvE so there are options of what to play -There are alternative weapons that come from PvE that you can use and still compete in endgame content; Mountaintop, recluse, and Swarm of the raven are only actually needed for super hard self imposed challenges like 3 manning the menagerie. Everything else can be done with dozens of PvE guns like huckleberry, loaded question, spare rations, a one two punch shotgun, or a 150 GL like outrageous fortune or acantha-D, or any of the hundreds of other good pve weapons PvP players: -Literally every single PvP meta weapon in the game besides recluse and I guess revoker requires you to play PvE -None of these weapons from PvE are pinnacle weapons that have a set task that you can work towards, they are literally all acquired through layers upon layers of RNG stacked on top of eachother (Spare rations and Mindbenders ambition being the two biggest ones but there are dozens of others with a similar situation) -There are very few alternatives. Like I said revoker and recluse is really the only PvP meta loadout that is made with PvP weapons. Mountaintop is good but you are much better off with a shotgun or sniper like mindbenders or beloved, and not forgotten is okay but you are much better off with... well pretty much any other hand cannon. Unless you want to be at an unfair disadvantage in a PvP tournament or in quickplay or in comp you NEED to play PvE. -PvP makes up 4(four) activities in the director, I guess five if you include private matches and six once a month for iron banner. There is hardly any choice of what to play. You can play quickplay, or rumble, or the featured playlist, or comp. That is all you get. I know, “It’s a PvE game so of course you have to play PvE blah blah blah”. Thats fine. I am (usually, but sometimes it makes me want to smash my skull into a concrete wall,) okay with grinding PvE for my PvP weapons. But PvE players complaining about playing PvP? That is a complete joke. Get a grip if you whine about the pitiful amount of PvP you have to play for your PvE weapons that you don’t even need to perform in endgame content on your side of the game. You need a very minimal amount of brainpower to recognize that PvP players have it WAY worse when it comes to playing the side of the game that they don’t like.
I mean the quests are designed for people who are good for pvp...idk what to tell you other than git gud

Imagine complaining because you have to play pvp in a game that is 50% based on pvp
-
It's really not that hard just be patient and persevere, you may only get 1 a game or 2% but just try. I'm not terrible at pvp my kd is shit because I take risks because it's a game. Since solstice started I've got Revoker, Broadsword, Recluse, Mountaintop and Lunas. I'll admit I'm not good enough to get Not Forgotten but the rest is achievable in time.

It because those at bungie lack imagination that’s why we have quest for exotics in the first place
