Okay example.
Seals:
It took some players 9 months to get the Cursebreaker title due to the three dreaming city cosmetic items. One of the dreaming city cosmetic was effectively on a 3 week cooldown.
Imagine how frustrating that's going to be for players who are unable to complete a seal because the content that is required for the seal is taken away?

Who says seasons and seals are going to work the same way? And it’s *just* a seal. A title above your name. I know it’s important for some, but that’s part of the grind. Or do you want a game that just hands you the stuff
-
Go be fair, if it's part of a 'season' and someone played every day, did every possible thing to get the last item for a seal, didn't get it because RNG sucks, and then the seal was taken away because the season ended...that is kind of messed up.

Hawk2-NLにより編集済み: 8/17/2019 10:18:02 PMIf you played they entire season, which is 3 months, and did everything possible that season, every day...then i highly doubt it you won’t get the item you need. Bad RNG or not...i really doubt it.

PilksUKにより編集済み: 8/17/2019 11:28:28 AMThe problem is Bungie as ALWAYS left access to the content you paid for in the game for example you can logon and play the black armory forges right now, So for Bungie to behind the scenes decide that actually at the end of the season we will be taking away the forges for example is a BIG change you are no longer buying access to the content you are renting it for a set period of time this should of been part of the marketing and communicated. Imagine walking into a burger place you have been going to weekly for 5 years you buy a burger take a bite and then the rest of the burger gets taken away from as they have decided if you dont finish your burger within 1min of purchasing then they can take it away! no were in the store has this new policy been announced you would be pissed as for the last 5 years there was no time limit and thats what you expected.

PilksUKにより編集済み: 8/18/2019 10:05:01 AMPlatform holders have nothing to do with marketing... Its down to Bungie to make it clear in their marketing what your purchase gets you... They have completely changed how they deliver content and how long that content stays in the game by the sounds of things but nowhere on their marketing does it say that 'Your purchase of the annual pass gets you access to new content each season for a limited time.' that is all they had to say but instead we have been left expecting the content we purchased with the annual pass will work the same way it has for the last 6 years we purchase it and we always have access to it.

Hawk2-NLにより編集済み: 8/17/2019 11:47:04 AMPlus if what your saying is true, i also don’t have a problem with that. After 3 months an activity becomes pretty boring. If removing an activity, in your example Black Armory, frees up space for new activities, so be it. I’m not gonna play old activties when new ones are brought in the game. I just can’t imagine someon that starts playing at season 9 is going to say stuff like “im mad because is didn’t play season 7’s content”. I just can’t imagine someone thinking that
-
d3benwayにより編集済み: 8/18/2019 11:27:48 PMBasically what this change says is that the seasonal pass content is only for those who’ll play Bungie’s mandated amount every week - ie too much for most people - without ever taking a break because of exams, life events, or just simply wanting to play something else or nothing at all. Presumably the theory is that streamers get an end-of-season event for a week or two every three months, but it’s bad for everyone else. The FOMO model in this game was already insufferable, but this is gonna take it to a whole new level.
-
Then it’s not the game for you. Stop blaming that you can’t get something, without doing that thing. It’s your problem, not the game. The game is changing to get more grindy. Events that will last for 3 (!) months. If you don’t have time to play during those 3 months, deal with it. Solstice was ONLY 3/4 weeks. If you don’t have time to get the solstice gear for all 3 char, be happy you get at least 1 done. FOMO is impossible. Unless you want all 3 characters done, every season. Which is stupid anyway.

d3benwayにより編集済み: 8/18/2019 11:28:19 PMWell yeah, if you like having some video game company not only make an entertainment product but also schedule your leisure time for you - and if you can’t adhere to their schedule then you don’t get to experience the content you’ve paid for - then I guess this really is the game for you ... and the very best of luck with that. Seems like quite the business model to me, but I guess I’m supposed to believe that it’s actually my fault the game sucks ass now. 👍

Hawk2-NLにより編集済み: 8/19/2019 6:12:33 AM1 character per 3 months to do all activities with is more then doable. After a couple of weeks/months the new activity becomes tedious so it’s good that they keep shifting out old content for new. Who still plays black armory on a daily basis? Make room for new content, and don’t keep old, tedious, less used assets in the game. That’s how every business does it. And blaming Bungie for scheduling your leisure time is really low. As i said, don’t pay for content that you can’t play! And stop blaming the company for your busy schedule.
-
I’m blaming the company for making bad design choices on an ongoing basis. I actually don’t even mind occasional time-limited events - fwiw I masterworked 3 2018 solstice sets, only for Bungie to make them irrelevant 3 weeks later. Which I guess is part of the same picture. But applying that model to goofy, once-off, free and strictly optional events is a very different thing to applying it to paid content comprising all fresh end-game activities, story progression, etc., for next year or the series. I’m not going to buy content on the basis of “you have to play this according to our schedule, if you don’t it’ll be gone forever”. To be honest I’d already seen plenty of reasons not to pre-order Shadow Keep (first time I’ve skipped a Destiny content drop since 2015), but this for me is just more evidence that this franchise is totally lost at the moment.

Hawk2-NLにより編集済み: 8/17/2019 11:42:18 AMThen don’t buy that season if you can’t play that season. The rewards will come back in a other way in later seasons. They said “some” activities will dissapear. I can’t imagine those are major activities
