I'm worried about the section in part III, the evolving game. It seems like this could easily become a situation where players feel pressured to participate, not because content is fun, but because content won't last long. Fear of missing out is a manipulation tactic we see a lot in terms of people keying into certain other big games with their credit cards and dumping their bank accounts. I fear the same for our time played.

DrPhilaBoleにより編集済み: 8/17/2019 8:17:22 AMThat's the thing though. They're taking that option away.
This differs from last year’s Annual Pass, which permanently added activities to the game. This year will see events that last for three months and offer new rewards to chase, although at the end of that period, some of the activities will go away. For a time, the rewards will too. But we also acknowledge that part of playing Destiny is collecting all of the stuff, so in future seasons the weapons and Legendary armor associated with these seasonal activities will be added to other reward sites.
You don’t get it. No one is going to enjoy paying for limited content. We’re already spending way too much for very little content. Now this “content” will only last a few weeks? Right. Have fun with your triple subscription service.

Yeah that’s a big yikes from me, the game already at times has that if your not playing you miss out feeling. And now they waiting make it worse shm So let me get this straight Bungie devs are at E3 waiting in line to get into new games like the new doom. But if we want to show interest in other games it’s a code red. Increase the grind increase the exclusivity makes them feel like destiny is the only game their allowed to play. I really hope this backfires on them hard

I don't know about that. Bungie can't create that much content that rapidly. I mean seriously, Luke started by saying how exhausted they were with the Annual Pass....that was like 3 events, I think we'll be able to keep pace if we want to.

Astellanにより編集済み: 8/19/2019 9:28:50 PMAnyone else remember how they hyped the Infinite Forest? As if it was going to be this expansive ever changing place that we would be able to explore and such? Yeah... Turns out it is just a linear path where random enemies spawn. :D

You know POTUS is an incredibly tough job - perhaps the toughest. But we all know when its getting f-ed up and when the guy in the big chair is tweeting absurd lies and BS, and otherwise shaming and devaluing the thing he's been hired to protect and grow.

Thank you. I thought those 3 resells labeled as new annual pass content were the perfect example to call BS on Luke Smith. Theyve mastered the resell. Black armory was great. Menagerie was good. And the rest of it was ugly.

Fvck visiting Ada-1, multiple times, finishing off Beta Frames & Alpha Frames etc, just to be able to get into some patchy ass game mode, throwing batteries at a receptacle, broken registration & matchmaking etc Boring & unrewarding all the same time! I still can't be assed to finish Izanami Burden (and I'm on the last NF step!)

Izanagi's is a terrible weapon. Im not bothering either. Also didnt partake in that lame puzzle quest that never got legitimately solved and couldnt be solved due to yet another bug lol. I was lucky enough to squeeze out just enough light level to get into the forge in the first week and I recall that being a truly challenging and rewarding experience for the machine gun everyone is still using. The raid is also very interesting and fun to do even now (#sparrowRacing). The stuff with Ada was and still is a minor annoyance, as well as the fact that shes still buried in the floor up to her knees. Bungie though, they never look back to fix anything unless its either game breaking or something that doesnt need fixing - one of those extremes. Im gonna blame that last point directly on Luke "fys" Smith too, since he IS the spineless director ultimately responsible.
