Was it a "ban" or a "restriction"? People keep confusing the 2 different terms, but they mean completely different things. You mentioned the article, so you should know the difference and use the correct terms.
Bans are permanent and won't be removed. Restrictions are temporary and will not be removed before the scheduled expiration date, again, all in the article you linked.

Ok, put yourself in Bungie's position. On their end, they see an account glitching and negatively affecting other players. How is Bungie to know the player had their connection rendered unstable due to an unlawful neighbor? Just because your friend said so? Bungie has said in articles several times, a players connection and account is their responsibility. It is unfortunate your friend's neighbor did that, but it is not Bungie's fault and Bungie has an obligation to the rest of the players.
The only response you "might" get is from a BNGSecurity person once they know your friend's gamer tag and I am pretty sure they will say "reviewed and upheld".

I also wasn't "pointing a finger" of the blame game. That wasn't the intention nor meant to come across that way. The means was "After" the first restriction that they did take responsibility to own up by means of better provider despite the unfortunate outcome in the end. I've also learned from another source that most gaming companies have a policy that regardless of the situation once banned after warnings/restrictions it's final. As you've pointed out. My aim "Was" to see of if it could be lifted due to the situation. As I admit I did browse till I came across the article in the forms. But if one was looked into such as this then every "case" would have to be looked into which in the end won't. So despite the outcome I did try, and I do appreciate the input. At least you were kind enough to respond in a friendly manner as I know the gaming community can switch on the fly in an instant of either being helpful or those that chose to be a "douche".
