Self explanatory. Elemental orbs last for what like 5 seconds after they drop? Kind of forces an aggressive, close range playstyle in order to collect them in time. For those of us who prefer to stay at range they're gone before you can get to them.

A bit too speedy on the disappearing, but that's a really minor gripe for me :) I actually really love the orbs, and after a heavy firefight the battlefield looks awesome with glitter, engrams, and orbs splashed across the landscape.

As someone who use to cheese Argos with infinite tether.. you don't want the orbs, especially since they are very very plentiful, to stick around for a long time. Game will lag like a Mofo especially on console. lol

5 通の返信Agreed. I've found myself sprinting after them after a decent range kill just to have them poof out of existence right before I got there quite often already.

4 通の返信A possible solution would be to have them generate from the players position, not from the downed enemies. This would at least give the player a better chance to grab them before they roll away, drop off the map, or disappear.

3 通の返信If they stayed out for too long they would eventually start to add up and cause Guitar errors, like what happened with Revelry.

1 返信Agreed. You almost get to see it hit the ground before they vanish. Seriously if you are doing the Titan tank PE and you see orbs drop near tank 2 and your at he edge near tank 1 they are gone before you can get there. Of the 800+ orbs I have so far, for the 1500, I bet I lost at least 150 just trying to get to them before they vanished. BUT, a trick to getting them faster, Risk Runner and either the Rig LS on Titan or the Hive LS on Mars. LOTS of arc orbs drop at your feet.

Agreed. I was playing a Warlock and doing ranger damage and my fire team were both Titans doing up close attacks and they got double the orbs I did because the orbs would disappear by the time the adds were cleared.

3 通の返信If they aren’t going to change their lifespan they need to at least change their gravity. Those things jump, bounce and run more than Gambit motes. If you don’t chase them immediately they end up halfway across the map. I did notice though that there’s a half second after they disappear that you can still pick them up, so that’s something I guess.

7 通の返信Bungie always pushes people to play Destiny like they're brain dead. Because that's how they play at Bungie. It was always fun to watch them get slaughtered against coordinated teams in Halo.

4 通の返信That sniper rifle in D1 that would pick up ammo when shot would be useful here if only it could the orbs instead. Speaking of that, Bungie could reskin a sniper for this event to pick up orbs for those that like to snipe.

Since several activities require orbs from them, it forces players to play them more, including unpopular activities like pvp. There are STILL people on the forums complaint about quests being linked to pvp. They really should expect this by now... This is NEVER, going to change, no matter how much they hate it and complain on the forums... Bungie is going to do EVERYTHING they can to get people to play ALL activities in game. Elemental orbs disappear quickly to force a longer grind (especially in pvp).
