オリジナルの投稿元: Those Reckoning weapons we still want.
Since the start of Season of Opulence, I havent gone back to reckoning. With the nerf to some supers and a very random abysmal weapon drop chance, its very discouraging to go into an activity like that. Compared to activities like the Forges, Menagerie, and even Escalation Protocol, The Reckoning is pretty much more forgotten and uninteresting than Trey Smith (nah we love Will Smiths Kids right....*crickets*) Point is, there is some awesome loot in the Reckoning (Spare Rations, Doomsday, Gnawing Hunger to name some of my favorites), but both the activity and its lack of intentional grind is not appealing. With something like Menagerie where we know for certain what gun we want and even the masterwork, and the forges where we literally just pick the gun we want, Reckoning has no intentional way of grinding for their weapons. I can assume that it was intially meant to be exclusively an armor grind (you can get enhanced perks on them which is neat). But even with that, its a random armor chance for armor perks that (with the exception of the helmets) have minimal benefits on the gameplay (unflinching where?). So I was thinking of possible solutions that can probably come in Shadowkeep (which sucks because its relevancy will be super non existent but i understand priorities) that can maybe add some sort of intentionality. 1. Linking the weapons to the synths/motes: In Gambit Prime, the weapons drop with their curated rolls based on a task that you do in the match (killing 5 blockers can give you the Shotgun, depositing 50 motes can give you the hand cannon). I can possibly see an opportunity for the mote you deposit for Reckoning can be tied to a weapon for that week. So for instance, if i deposit an Invader mote, on top of the armor piece i get for completing the Reckoning, I also get a Gnawing Hunger. Completing a Reckoning run flawlessly can increase the chances for the curated roll. The only issue i can see is that each boss has 5 weapons tied to them and only 4 slots on the bank. I honestly cant think of a way for them to remedy that. 2. GIving Drifter extra weekly bounties: This one may be a little farfetched but kinda helpful. currently, there are no bounties tied to the Reckoning activity except for the bounties for the helmets. I think i would rather give the helmets a more D1 final boss vibes in which completing tier 3 boss can drop a notorious helmet (instead of waiting 3 weeks to get a notorious helmet if people had skipped Season of the Drifter). With this change to acquire the helmet, this leaves an opportunity to at least have bounties tied to the weapons. This would be similar to how Ada's bounties would work. You have the 5 weapon bounties that require specific tasks in Gambit Prime based on the bounty. Then, complete a Tier 3 Reckoning. Finally, once completed, it spits out that weapon for that week. The first time you complete it will be powerful, but then the rest of the week that weapon will drop at your soft cap, but will allow you to go into tier 2 if you want. Purchase the bounties with the Synths associated with it. 3. Add them to Ada's Arsenal bounties : This one is hit or miss but potentially similar to my second suggestion only that your going to Ada instead of the Drifter. Using Modulus Reports to purchase the frame from Ada that can require a specific task from the Reckoning. Once completed, go to a forge and complete it to get the weapon. It would be soft capped at your level, but instead of having a choice in what you want specifically, it will spit 1 of the 10 weapons. While it still has a sense of intentionality, it still requires potentially alot of grinding. But hey, beggars cant be choosers. Anyway what do you guys think? Anything you would like to add? Do you think these can work? Are these ideas dumb? Feedback is what Bungie wants, so lets keep it constructive and keep delivering it to them. EDIT: keep upvoting this and giving feedback on this post. Some of the comments have been in line with why I want these drops to be more intentional.
Agreed on everything you said, but there's only one problem, all activities starting from 22nd of September will be left behind, typical bungie attitude, they did it in destiny 1 and they'll do it with shadowkeep, considering that a new armor system 2.0 will kick off implied the fact that old armor sets will be useless.
