So let me start by saying I main a titan.
Yes I know I've heard it all before... just switch to warlock. Yup, Maybe if quests were account wide that would be an option but I'm no way working on all of my current quests again its just stupid at this point.
So back to titans.
They are officially useless in every aspect of the game right now compared to the other 2 classes and here's some examples in both cases of PvE/PvP:
PvE
Hunter has:
The bow to tether
Invisibility
Dodging to regain full ammo plus invis if you choose it
A ton of exotics that actually buff the classes and create more DPS
-
So let's be honest quite good survivability and team value
Warlock has
Multiple standard rifts
Blink jump
Well of radiance
Plus again a multitude of great exotics to buff class DPS
-
Again great survivability and team value
Now the useless titan
Barricade
And maybe melting point if you dont get slammed by a boss
Plus maybe one exotic that does basically nothing in any real situation
-
Survivability basically non existent and next to no team value
This has been happening a lot lately when looking to do a raid or something of that type you get kicked for being a titan now because we have nothing to benefit the team in any encounter.. Oh nice you got barricade to help with reload? Yeah that dude has well that does that plus gives you extra damage and keeps you alive! Dude! All titans are good for now is getting in the way with there big ass armor and I know I main the stupid thing
So in hindsight something to benefit a team an make us valuable would be nice like come on we have bubble but why on earth cant we shoot out of it! What is the point of a bubble to just sit in it for 8 seconds until the enemy has blasted it to dust. Also give us some sort of maneuvering ability or even bring back the twilight garrison or just something of that nature do something do anything to help because this is stupid now.
That's just about all I have to rant about at the moment and I'm sure theres plenty I got wrong or things I didn't add so feel free to add them in the comments and give me your abuse but if you do so just do me a favour and try doing a bit of comp as a titan right now or try doing some end game activity that requires you to survive while doing other mechanics with no help from a warlock and let me know how you get on and unless your some sort of (titan god) good luck with that because its beyond a joke at this point.
Thanks for reading and have a good day.
EDIT!
Yeah ok I actually agree with most of you, Also my only gripe with PvP and maining a titan is maneuvering is terrible compared to the other 2 classes with blink/dodge titans dont have any of that.

I think the biggest issue is that they have absolutely horrible survivability compared to other classes, which should be a strong suit of the class. Playing a warlock feels infinitely better than playing a titan. You have the same resilience with 10x the recovery, and much more utility for your team at the same time.

Titan with One Eye Mask is one of the best PvP set ups. Melting point, Peregrine Greaves, and 5 melee mods is a really good PvE setup....and in PvP you can shut down the supers with this setup. I will agree the Titan is more situational in PvE but they are far from useless.
-
I wouldn’t say that they’re useless, just outshone. Warlocks have Well of Radiance, which is way better than bubble. Melting point is the only real useful PvE ability besides barricades. In PvP, striker titan needs a nerf or change. Shoulder charge needs a change as well. Other than that, they’re just ok. Titans can be useful; it just depends on the person playing.

Shockwave 989により編集済み: 7/20/2019 2:33:38 AMThe advantage I bring to my team is generally my expertise. Though yes Titans do feel absolutely worthless in Endgame PvE, which is why running Flawless Heroic Menagerie made me feel so good. Ironically ran 1/3 of those on my Warlock anyways.
-
Titan main since D1 Beta I disagree with your PvP points. Titans are good in PvP... not the best. That still belongs to Hunters in my opinion. But in PvE we need a huge buff. We do not offer a lot thats actually useful. Melting point is not even needed anymore and its super risking to do due to knockback mechanics, which I am not against, but I cant tell you how many times I have had my back broken from be slammed against a wall after a melting point lol.
-
It’s always Titan mains that over exaggerate the weakness of their class. What do you hope to gain from this?
-
Titan was meant to be "Tanky" but they are not any harder to kill than the other two classes. They are heavier, which falls in line with their supposed "tankiness", they fall faster, land harder, and are harder to slow down while falling. In PvE, they should take twice the damage as the other two.
-
😂😂😂😂 So much bias. Titan has much better survivability and team value than hunter. You have healing on every subclass with titan. A freaking wall that blocks EVERYTHING in PvE. A damage buff on demand on striker and sunbreaker. Ability recharge for yourself AND allies on killing adds with abilities. You have the best orb making super in the game after the exotic nerfs with thundercrash. You say hunter has reload on dodge.. sure....but you have a WALL THAT BLOCKS DAMAGE AND RELOADS YOUR GUN FOR 15 SECONDS. Hunter has no survivability...unless you pick top path arcstrider and melee everything to death. Stop it with the fake pitty posts.

Midnightにより編集済み: 7/19/2019 10:28:25 PMIt's funny you say that because one of the strongest people in my clan mains a Titan I think you're using Titan incorrectly

Middle tree Sentinel is pretty great with the super -heals your team on kills -shielding allies blocks incoming damage and boosts their attacks -paired with a good exotic you can get a ton of ad kills pretty easy with shield throws and hits. But bubble should work like banner shield imo, boosting damage while blocking.
-
Fam... I have a friend I play with constantly who mains a titan in PvP and he has a KD of 2.34 with over 46000 kills. It's all about what suits your play style. I mean if you just want maneuverability then they need to bring back twilight garrison.
-
I main a titan and I mostly play pvp and titans are the best in pvp with one eyed mask and long lasting supers such as bottom tree striker. Pve titans are useless though anything a titan can do a warlock can do better
-
Blink jump? In PvE? Good!? Okay dont get me wrong titans need a buff but blink is the worst jump in PvE Also you do have to stay smart when it comes to buffing titans since if you just bring weapons of light to ward of dawn then it either is overshadowed by well and nobody play titan or bubble overshadows well and nobody plays warlock
-
If titans haven’t been nerf in the past they wouldn’t be in this situation there now so at this point they need to be seriously buff to bring them back to the level they were before

ShadowWing48により編集済み: 7/19/2019 5:06:58 AMTitans can spam nades when done right. They have Thermites and Suppressors They have Dunemarchers, Skullfort, Heart of Inmost Light, Hallowfire Heart, Synthoceps, and Doom Fang Pauldron. And others while not amazing have great concepts with high potential The tempered metal buff can completely change an engagement in PvP. They can make sunspots and give themselves a decent damage buff and buff to hammers. All they need is an exotic for bottom tree. Bottom tree striker is nutty in PvE and PvP. Hunters have the least efficient method of applying their debuff and regening health when compared to Titans. Warlocks have no debuffs to apply, only buffs directly to other players. The Banner Shield/Well combo is amazing And there's more I can list From my experience in Y2 Titans can be just as good as the other classes, just play them right. If this was Y1 I'd agree, aside from Argos they were pretty ass, especially in PvP. Titans are simply a difference in playstyle. I dont even main one and have 0 issue using mine when I do. I honestly think 90% of this complaining from all 3 classes being "lacking" is straight BS. All Titan needs is more good exotics, give hammers and thundercrash a PvE buff and then tweak top tree Sentinel. Thats literally all that needs to be done.

Warlock main here but only since 3 months ago. I was a titan main since D1. Sadly. I had to switch for exactly the same reasons you explained. So if anything you have a bump here with me. Good post.

I would like to see titans have a super viable skill to bring to activities like raids, other than melting point. However titans are dope in PvP! I respectfully disagree with 99% of everything you've written here bro
