I see all of these posts about people hating on destiny 2’s PvP and I wanted to get a general idea of how the population actually feels.

I love playing pvp. When it’s not a buggy mess like it is currently. Pve enemies are brain dead and it’s get boring doing the same activities all the time for trash rolls which is what 99% of what pve is. Pvp gives me a fresh set of enemies to deal with every match. Sometimes it’s the sweaty nf team I can test myself against. Sometimes it’s people running double primary people who I steam roll cause seriously that’s a bad idea. Buts it’s challenging. I’m not the best player not the worse just a person who loves to slay in the crucible.

I enjoy PVP sometimes, but i do not know why i spent so much times on that PVP. I have played some PVP, Destiny's PVP is one of the worst, unbalanced, laggy, toxic community, stupid quest ... I still do not understand how did they decided to put overpowered weapons like Luna's Howl and impossible weapon to get like Not Forgotten. I still despair i will never have Not Forgotten. If crucible was removed i won't regret it.

I enjoy PvP, but -blam!-ing Christ it is neglected. Bungie's refusal to nerf meta weapons/buff unused ones is absurd. DRB has been meta since the secone it was in the game, and has it gotten slapped? Barely, by 1 meter. Autos are worthless. There's Hard Truths, which is almost definitely the worst gun in the game. There shouldn't be a "worst gun." A single Coil rocket is better than most supers in the game, and you get 2 of them. OEM is 18 exotics in one. Why can't we just have everything be truly viable, instead of 9 weapons and exotics?

I haven't enjoyed Crucible since Bungie "accidentally" did away with sbmm. I'm a low-skilled PvP player and getting stomped by good players is just not fun. Playing against (and with) other players who also suck at PvP was fun because at least the playing field was leveled. I never saw much lag, which is the reason given for eliminating sbmm and instituting cbmm. I know that lag was a big issue for other players in other parts of the world so I can't blame them for wanting it changed but sometimes I do miss the fun of playing with other scrubs.

It's only fun if I'm winning tbh, which is a huge issue, if your game is only fun for the winning team, then half of the people playing aren't having fun. I really liked it during vanilla D2 when shotguns and snipers and fusion rifles shared a slot with rockets, grenade launchers and swords, so people weren't spamming their one shot kill guns 24/7, but the weapon slot changes with Forsaken completely wrecked that.

To be perfectly honest I'm not a "pvp player". I don't play the game for pvp that's for sure but when I do go in, it's fun for the most part. Does have its issues for sure but I would probably miss it if it were gone.

It just goes both ways. Some games are a blast, some games suck and I dont even want finish it. I just feel like going afk (I dont though. I'll take a .25 efficiency if I have to). Right now, too many games end in breaking up of the teams, and that indicates a problem. Fortnite (even though I dont play it, I cant seem to escape it in gaming news) upset a lot of top players and streamers in the name of fairness and broader accesibility/more fun for all, Bungie should consider doing the same.

Before all the bugs that plague it got introduced it was in a decent spot. If we get larger maps and some supers get armor reduction and/or don’t last as long (along with the needed bug fixes so I can see the reticle of my scope when trying to shoot an enemy Titan, in super, that is invisible because he’s not fully loading in) Destiny PvP would be amazing. Also there’s this weapon called Lord of Wolves that’s apparently wreaking havoc on PC, so those guys need a little extra help.

When it’s working correctly and there are no pinnacle quests. It’s like a shooting range if anything it helps me be a better pve player than a pvp sure I’ve got pinnacle weapons but I do not feel like a good person when I play it and currently it will test your patients with the glitches!

No offense to your poll, but I feel like it could use a ‘moderate’ option; I don’t hate PvP - I’ll play it when I’m trying to raise my light level and I want the powerful weekly gear, and I’ll play if an exotic quest requires it... but I’d rank it dead last in terms of ‘Destiny activities’ (I also don’t Raid, but I can’t judge what I haven’t done), and I don’t know how much I’d miss it if it weren’t there. I did come to hate it last season, though, when I was chasing the Pinnacle weapons - I REALLY wanted the Mountaintop - but I’ll chalk that more up to poor quest design than the Crucible itself; any quest that can take away progress is going to feel incredibly frustrating, in my opinion.
