I DEFINITELY would've done the bad juju cheese if I'd known about it.
The bad juju grind is God awful on its own but I get why Bungie did it the way they did it, for stupid streamers who don't use planetary mats and have a million of em.
However, after spending a week grinding for stuff, I learned I could've actually have gotten it day 1 with no issues with a cheese.
I am unabashedly, unashamedly saying that I would've taken that cheese all day.
I did a nightfall with full leviathan gear (armor anyway), and got 5%. That means 20 nightfalls for one tribute.
3% per strike, and the same for the others.
That is hundreds of events that I have to grind for a single damn gun.
I can pay for it with glimmer, except you need 20 days of completing 4 dailies (without dying) before you can even hope to afford it unless you've played 5000 hours in the game and have thousands of mats laying around.
If I had known I could get what is ultimately a fun but middle of the road exotic on day one with a little bit of patience, I would have, because the alternative (for non sweaties who don't play this game like a job) is weeks of grinding the same activities we've mostly had since day 1.
Not only that, but these are events we've been grinding for years, especially if you've been here since D1.
I've already done Leviathan raids (Leviathan and EOW) dozens of times with leviathan raid gear equipped. I've already done a metric ton of strikes and nightfalls. I've (unfortunately) been forced into this game's poisonous PvP hundreds of times for quests and daily/weekly engrams, suffering through while bad sports super you to death after the match is over and IT STILL SOMEHOW COUNTS TOWARD YOUR K/D. Full clans vs randoms, Luna Howl, all the horseshit this game had thrown at me and I've marched through hoping the good times will come eventually.
You know what sucks? Trying to bank 20 motes without dying while playing with a fire team full of people who also need to bank 20 motes without dying.
All while wearing or otherwise owning gear I've had since late 2017, early 2018.
And now I'm being asked to do it again for an unreasonable amount of time for a single damn gun (without the catalyst, which requires nearly 3 times as many tributes) while some people get to skip it because they found an easier and better way to do it?
Keep in mind we're doing all this for a gun many of us already freaking had in D1 and this grind is taking place 20 days during the summer. I'm 32 so that doesn't matter much to me, but I feel for the teenagers who get to waste their summer vacation on this nonsense.
I would've done the cheese if I'd known about it without blinking. "Real gamer blah blah" nonsense be damned. I'm not doing anything I haven't done before and I've no shit done everything Bungie wants me to do to get this gun already.
Soemtimes, I really hate this stupid game.

You can tell in the comment section who plays this game for fun and who plays this game waaaaaay too often. Getting bad juju in 4 hours or a couple days tops? Ugh, the top 1%-ers are really annoying on this topic. We don't all have 100s of mats and max glimmer, nor have we all been grinding managerie like rabid hounds ya jerks!

Omg the try hards have such a boner for words like "hard" and "fear". The quest not difficult and it's not fear of missing out. It's boring and irritating to earn tributes for crap you've already done before. How people keep getting irritation mixed up with difficulty is beyond me because those words don't even remotely mean the same thing. Literacy rates among some of you are surprisingly low. Also, if you have thousands of shards just sitting around, you are part of the 1%, you are not casual and you are not normal. Stop pretending like you are.

See I’m stationed in MCAS Iwakuni. I’m on deployment all the time. It was now or never for me. I also “earned” it back in The first game. I kinda felt entitled to it already.

The grind for the catalyst is a bit too much in my opinion, and it’s spread across playing literally the entire game. It’s a bit unreasonable. The catalyst should be 40 tributes instead of 45. The progress for the valor/infamy tributes is inconsistent at best, but that’s two long grinds just right there. Then replaying 4 raids.... ugh. Too much. Can’t say I’m surprised though. Bungie has an issue with moderation and shown that they have an unrealistic understanding of and unrealistic expectations for how and why many people play video games in the first place.

Wow I don't raid or exploit/cheese but I play every chance I get and I know the game well and how the vendors work as such I have a collection of resourses that allowed me to get the final quest in 2 hours over 1 daily reset. Because you choose to play the way you do does not give you the right to get everthing this game has on offer with little or no effort. And to call other out as not being normal is childish as most of them would have the same amount of game time as you but are better at PLAYING the game. This event is designed to take resourse from players before the new Xpac starts to force player to play and continue farming because it appears these resourses are going to be of higher value at that time. So although some of us may not have as greater literacy rate as you we do have a great deal more critical thinking skills. So LTP noob.

[spoiler]One of my posts was shut down by this forum because most on here wanted to look at only one thing I said, and that was the second slot for mods from Menagerie. Now there is only 1 chest to open and knowing the RNG in this game and the overdone duplicates? If you're going to run that activity to try to get a good roll you're going to end up spending a hell of a lot more time then farming that chest now that you will most likely not get that roll you're looking for a long time. This isn't D1 to where random rolls actually had a variety that you would end up having a good chance of getting gear that improved your stats each time you got a duplicate.[/spoiler] Then there is quest like Bad Juju, the tribute hall that is way overpriced that a lot of the people on this forum don't want to look at how they are being created for mainly Bungie's best interest, not the player base. Spider when cores were introduced, buying cores are way overpriced, Speaking of spider, I found it funny how Bungie did something some of you might have not noticed. For a day or so purchasing glimmer from Spider was changed that you couldn't use legendary shards. It was changed with that little update back to being able to a couple of days later. Oh, but it goes further then what I said. Things like Tess, since they remove the matrix the duplicates have been twice as bad turning in bright engrams because of Bungie's lovely RNG. Shaders don't drop as they used to that my inventory is just about empty when it was full majority of the time and I haven't really been dismantling them. I had stacks of shaders that even the Cryptarch inventory with shaders is just about empty and I didn't ever use that, had no reason to. [spoiler]This game is not turning out to be what's the best interest for the player base, it's turning into what Bungie wants and how they are going about things making these ridiculous changes has to do a lot because of streamers. Now some might think I'm just bashing on them but let's get real here. They sit on their butt every day all day and night just staking and staking and staking, but who pays the price for them sitting on their butt doing nothing but playing a video game?[/spoiler] Maybe it's time Bungie learns after going on 5 years with 2 games with 12 years of working on Destiny to actually learn how to make (the material useful) to where gamers don't think they will be able to cash in. Guess what? Bungie will have none of that and the tribute hall is proof of that. I bring this up a lot but look at Motes of light. It is a material that had a multi-purpose that didn't just stake up and you saying to yourself, um, what do I do with this like dreaming city special little purple material to where you have thousands of them because you had a variety of options to use them for. A lot of material does stack and things like the Tribute hall wouldn't be a thing if Bungie investment team would use their brain for once.

I don't really know what impact the cheese would have had, but I would have grinded for the triumphs/tributes in any case... I'm glad I missed the cheese; just in case it does block certain things! There's probably two things that I'm disappointed by: 1. Even on max discount the bright dust cost is 560 per item... so it will be 2,800 for all five items! This does get in the way of using brightdust for it's intended purpose... call me cynical; maybe that's the point!! 2. I'm trying to grind gambit prime with notorious armour, which I can't do currently because I'm having to wear the leviathan gear for another gambit grind*, all whilst having a bow equipped for ANOTHER gambit grind - although, I haven't really explored what I can equip to register all grinds at once, so this is maybe something I'm overlooking! *I've been on a losing streak at legend rank recently and bounties don't count toward the triumph, for whatever reason - no % increase for me then - FML!

Good thing that the bad juju sucks. well actually not. it’s just much weaker than OutbreakP ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) , but for everyone who needed to go to orbit and back especially those on console with the long loading times. they shot themselves in the head with it!

8 通の返信Bruh nobody gets screwed, you could reach an 80% discount in two weeks. Now let’s think efficiently here, do the four daily bounties, it should take you one hour or less. Let’s save two hours for you to grind the mats, go to every planet that has the required mats. Do the bounties. They are very easy, two hours is very generous, three bounties that each give ten mats. Times that by 7 and you’ll have 210 mats in one week, by two you’ll have 420. Let’s round the number from the tribute to 130, 80% off of 130 is 26. You have to buy these tributes five times, and let’s be even more generous and say every purchase increases the price by 10 26 36 46 56 66 All this adds up to 230 mats consumed, you have 190 left over, and you didn’t have to go broke. You’re complaining plain and simple, the game has offered two paths, the gimme now, or wait. A person with a job, and a family can easily hop on every two hours just for this, and you could even skip out on the patrol bounties six times out of these two weeks and you’ll be fine still. So if you got a busy Friday through Sunday, you are fine with one hour to do the four daily bounties. All this means is you don’t have to stress yourself to get a weapon. You’r lying about the raid tributes as well, you can complete last wish tribute in one run, scourge takes two, leviathan tribute two or one, since crown of sorrow counts for the leviathan related tributes. Nightfall gives the highest percent, and you don’t even need to make 100k. Just heavyweight, grounded, and arc singe, easily finished in one hour. These tributes are easy, the only ones who will struggle are people who never ran leviathan, menagerie, or crown of sorrow. So that means these triumphs are actually pushing players to try something they haven’t, and if you’ve done the content as much as you claim, then these triumphs should not be an issue. You’re complaining plain and simple. The only one I’d agree on is the valor and infamy tribute. You get 5% a win in crucible with fully decked gear, that’s my problem with this. 8% in gambit, with fully decked leviathan gear also, that’s another problem. They shouldn’t have handicapped us like that.

You need 16 out of 50 for the Bad Juju so you don't even have to do everything. I think it is grindy but what else is there to do. I have a normal job and play a bit in the evening and got the 22/24 for the title done and done everything but 3 things on the triumphs. For the material stuff I am gonna do those 4 bounties every day until I am on 80 percent discount for tribute hall. Raids is also not a lot. 2 Last Wish, 2 Crown of Sorrows because it also counts as Leviathan and 2 SoTP. I think if you play just normal and finish your weekly stuff with all this Opulence or Leviathan armor on you will finish while just playing. You don't have to finish everything in 2 days like those streamers.

2 通の返信Okay, let’s be reasonable... We’ve screamed for a use for our materials. Now we have one. And still we scream. The gun itself is not difficult to get even if you don’t play that much. The catalyst is not critical to the value of the gun. I have the catalyst on my alt account and not on my main, and I can tell you it’s good either way. Understand, I am not a completionist. Some things are beyond my reach and I’m fine with that. Sometimes it’s because I’m not skilled enough, sometimes because I just don’t want to do what’s necessary, but either way this game isn’t about my personal tastes or abilities. It has to appeal to a broad spectrum of players. If you have the compeltionist mentality and don’t have the skills to back it up, you’re going to be disappointed. If you aren’t going to commit the time and effort to get items that require time and effort, you’re going to be disappointed. Not trying to be mean, but you have to be a bit more realistic.

1 返信It's fine to express your thoughts on this. I'm one of the people who got it in a couple days because I had completed most of the triumphs already for it. Yeah for those who didn't do this it'll take some time, but it's not hard at all. Just some time. I'm also annoyed people used a cheese for it, but hey I'm not doing it that way so it doesn't affect me really at all. But the moment you started insulting those who did get it legit faster than others you lost all credibility. Now it sounds like you're just whining because others got it and you don't yet. Sorry not sorry dude. Quit your b*tching and just go for the gun.

1 返信What I find interesting and kind of confusing is you have a TON of people here who are giving you thumbs up (I being one of them) and many if not all are for the Cheese and hate this pointless grind... Yet my post about having match making for everything gets mostly thumbs down. I mean, you can say... well that's not the same at all but it really is the same. Bungie is making us do more work than we would rather and wasting our time, to me... that is EXACTLY what no match making has done for my experience playing the game. I just don't get it.

I'll ask you a few questions. Have you played horizon zero dawn? If not, why not? Have you played red dead redemption 2? If not, why not? Have you played warframe? If not, why not? Have you played the free version of neverwinter or path of exile or final fantasy a realm reborn? If not, why not? Everyone needs to put down destiny, it's such a low tier game compared to other games. Put it down go buy any of the games I just mentioned which are just a tiny tiny small amount of the games out there that are waaaaaaaay better. Go buy them, play them and thank me later. PS4 alone has at least 15 really awesome free to play games in its store you can get right now. All of them are better than Destiny and each one is capable of sucking you in and keeping you busy for months or years even.
