Hey, everyone. I'm trying to boot up Destiny 2 on PC for the first time, and I can't seem to get past the chicken error. I downloaded the game around the time it was given away for free on battle.net, but only now have I tried to launch it.
What happens when I try to start the game: I get to the title screen, press enter, and get to the screen with the rotating symbols. That spins for a bit, then it goes to the screen where the same symbols are in the lower right hand corner, then the error code comes up.
So far, I have tried: checking for updates (I'm current), scanning for errors (none were found), turning my computer off and on, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, restarting my router, syncing my system clock, reinstalling the bnet launcher, and I'm still getting the error.
Nobody I know has any other ideas, so you're my only hope, bungie forums. Let me know what you think.
Well, I formatted my computer, installed all the Windows updates so I'm current again, ensured that my game was fully updated and had no errors, and launched it again. I still got the chicken error. I am now completely stumped.
