Hi, if you’re anything like me, you like to try to stay alive while you’re being invaded. And like me, you might like to try to use your primary or secondary to defend yourself from those nasty invaders. But unfortunately, everyone and their 2nd child who invades seems to feel the need to use Hammerhead, or 1k, or Truth, and unless you’ve saved some heavy ammo or your super, you ain’t gonna survive. And I don’t know about you, but for me, that makes Gambit as a whole pretty frustrating. It takes literally zero skill for someone to hop through the portal, and wipe out a whole team while sniping across the map with 1k, and its very unfair for the opposing team, especially since we have no idea where the invader is until it’s too late. Well, I have a solution! And I hope that the team at Bungie hears this, because this, or a similar idea could literally save Gambit from extinction. When you invade, you are limited to your primary only. If you get a kill, you unlock your secondary, if you get a second kill, you unlock your heavy. Simple as that. And to balance the major nerf to invaders, they would probably be given a stronger over shield, and maybe invading time could be increased. If this was implemented into the game, invaders would actually have to use their brain cells when invading, because invading shouldn’t be as easy as it is for anyone with heavy. And if they do well, they are rewarded with the ability to use a stronger weapons, rather than given the opportunity to abuse them right off the bat. And for defenders, with the invaders raises shield, it would still be a challenge to kill them. And don’t get me wrong, you shouldn’t be able to kill of a invader easy, but the invader shouldn’t be able to do the same to you. I really want to love Gambit, I really like its idea, and I do enjoy playing Gambit. But when I’m constantly being insta killed by invaders, it does nothing but drive me away.
