It's actually pretty cool. You get a pretty decent hand cannon and get to upgrade it d1 style and then you use that weapon and transform it into an exotic that's pretty good as well. And then on top of it all you can re-acquire Rose from the collections with a range master work. Reminds me of the exotic sword quests from TTK.
Rose really could have used anything else besides a grip perk though.
8 通の返信It's not really a quest, it's doing some random shit that has nothing to do with anything. Whisper was a quest, Outbreak was a quest.

No one uses lumina. That says a lot. Also the quest is dead boring and I haven't even completed it all yet. Very unimaginative non creative lazy random shit that has nothing to do with the weapon. I already wasted time by typing this. Had to quit the game out of straight boredom. Just my honest opinion.

2 通の返信Yb91xTitan1xにより編集済み: 7/8/2019 12:03:41 AMi'm just tired of every single quest requiring us to go into crucible. and it's even worse since we keep hearing that Lumina is not even that good. most people that i've talked to are more excited to get the Rose out of collections and use it than actually using the Lumina.

I absolutely hate PvP, but just like getting Ace, I will gladly do it as long as I can do it. My problem is getting into a nightfall strike as someone that hates having friends. I was sitting at the "Searching for Guides" screen for over an hour and nothing. If I cannot get into Nightfall, I cannot progress. I don't mind the Lumina quest, I absolutely hate the Nightfall LFG.

4 通の返信I looked at the quest steps and just couldnt be bothered. Being dragged through PvP, Gambit, and grind for like 2 or 3 hours (at the least) for another average weapon? Just cant be bothered.

1 返信Phenomenal concept and ideas. But. Worst. Execution. Goddamn, no new dialogue, nothing, just a bunch of chores. It's a cool storyline, but it's like a good book turned to a shit movie. Lumina itself is a really cool handcannon and I love the concept. Taking the OG thorn and crafting a weapon of light is awesome. I understand that financial burdens, work, and time play a factor, but I can't call this a quest when it's just a bunch of chores that I've done before. I apologize for my ridiculous rant, but i like to think Bungie can do better with these, especially after such amazing things like Zero Hour and The Whisper. Truth was awful. I'm really getting sick of these. Personally, I think this could've been something like the allegiance quest. Imagine choosing between pursuing the light and creating Lumina, or embracing the Darkness and powering up the ORIGINAL Thorn to even greater power.

4 通の返信Could have been called the rose and it be the exotic instead of calling it a completely different name and using a sub par handcannon as a catalyst much like a shit version of necrochasm. Seriously the rose was suppose to be the gun equvilant to the thorn because the thorn was it's dark copy. The rose is a good looking handcannon and I can see from the perspective of how it became the thorn when your placing dead hive husk on to it as a trophy deal. But for its weapon of light variant the lumina to be absolute shit is unacceptable. That gun should have some type of burn or something much like thorn instead of its support role feel. Still thinking when the hell is mercy going to show up as a guardian and thank us for finding her ultimate weapon. The quest I could do without the PvP shit and gambit shit all of us could enough with it already. Besides that very interesting quest but piss poor execution.

1 返信ToRni27により編集済み: 7/6/2019 10:14:20 PMI really love this exotic quest line. It is one of the best exotic quest lines in D2. My fireteam had a blast to do it and upgrading the rose after each quest step. Even the PvP quest step was fine. Bungie really learnt to make PvP quest steps easier. Even hand cannon kills of other players count to your quest. Only the gambit quest step was game breaking. Nobody played the game and was waiting for an invader all day. They should made it like win a gambit match. This way everyone would play in his/her own game style and would try the hardest to win the match that would have been nice.

3 通の返信"Quests" in Destiny 2 have the issue of being little more than a series of boxes to tick. "Kill X enemies" "Make X orbs" "Get X Multikills" "Decrypt X Engrams" It all boils down to a laundry list, every time. Lumina was a weapon where that was kind of okay, because the weapon changes throughout it and you're shifting it from dark to light, but I'd like to see a quest at some point that isn't just some generic objectives and a recycled strike or story mission.

13 通の返信Darth Lunchboxにより編集済み: 7/6/2019 2:29:58 AMIt has turned Gambit into a shiite show of people just standing around waiting for invaders. It's pretty shameful what Bungie has turned Gambit into. And it's not a quest, it's a series of steps of the same old shiite we've been doing for years, it's a sad excuse of an actual exotic quest.

1 返信The gambit step is infuriating. I usually don't mind gambit but this quest step has made gambit unbearable. It wouldn't be so bad if it counted for the whole team or if it was simply "kill an invader". Hell, it wouldn't even be an issue if it was kill 20 invaders. Having to compete with your own team mates to kill the invader within 10 seconds is just utter crap. If playing properly, you have to rely on luck to be in the spot the invader spawns in at just when they appear. If you are lucky, you get invaders who want to help. If you get lucky, you don't get put on a team that hinders your progress. I had three matches in a row where no one invaded. Complete waste of time. Some people say it's not that difficult and they got it within a few matches. That's great but it all depends on luck. I loathe crucible but I found that step to be much easier and less rage inducing than the gambit step.

1 返信I like the idea of the weapon, but I'm not fond of yet another "go do everything, even the activities you don't like to do" quest. I do hope to see support-oriented weapons in the future, preferably one not involving stepping into gambit and crucible. Even so, it's not like I'd complete Lumina anyways with a 50k nightfall requirement. I don't play with strangers in non-matchmade environments - only with people I know. Unfortunately, they're not online all that often. A good weapon quest is something like Thunderlord or Sturm and Drang(albeit Sturm is kind of boring, but Drang is nice.) Thunderlord was pretty easy, but the cool part of it was the special boss in a unique area and the neat little dialogue that goes along with it. Generating orbs or getting multikills doesn't feel organic or 'immersive'; it feels more like doing chores than going on a quest. Quests should send you on an adventure, not to things you've already been doing since launch. Worse yet is that PvP is somewhat of a divisive gamemode. Some love it, some merely don't mind it, and some refuse to ever touch it. PvP in a shooter with class and loot discrepancies along with supers isn't for everyone. Still, I like the idea of support/group-oriented weapons. There's too much fighting over kills in Destiny, and not enough working together for them.

The quest sucked, the lore was kind of meh, and the gun sucks... I think that sums it up pretty well. I wouldn't have a problem with Lumina if it didn't have such glaring issues with it. I have other Exotics that are straight up better. I'm not giving up an Exotic heavy for that thing. Remnants need to heal you, or they need to do more, and Noble Rounds are so brutally situational that you're insane if they become apart of your normal playstyle. It's a beautiful weapon, but that's where its positives stop.

3 通の返信If it weren’t for the community helping with the gambit step, I wouldn’t have it right now. Everything else was fine with me. When it came out after update, I found the location of the chest in minutes. I’m so glad they give others a hint as to where it is in other locations.

22 通の返信See, lumina is a very good gun for a very situational player. If you are a guns blazing kinda guy, it’s not for you. Now, if you are a support player, then I can guarantee you that You just never quit do you? Took out Ghaul. Woke up the traveler, and now half of what I hear on the streets is how much you and your clan are making a difference. That's why I started this whole clan thing in the first place. People are still waiting for the vanguard to solve all their problems for them. People like you are making a difference. No pressure.

1 返信Here's dredgen yor's thorn now go purify it and play with other people who just so happen to have the same original rose.

2 通の返信Still working on it. Stuck on the activities step. We'll not stuck necessarily, but I don't get a lot of time to play in the week, also I don't normally get to play with people either, so this step is taking forever for me. Think I'm halfway though...yaaaaaay. The gambit step is going to suck. I'll get it though dammit.
