The number of people in this post blaming Bungie for console limitations....
It just shows you how bad these forums can be.

This is so true. Xbox one and PS4 are nearing the end of their life cycles as the current systems. I popped a SSD in my one X and it drastically reduced load times. Like less than half the time when I first installed it. This latest update did make things slower. I can only imagine how shitty it is on a standard HD!

The problem is they make a 1 time purchase of the console and expect it to preform flawlessly on a game that is being updated and evolving past the capabilities of their hardware over time. Even PC users need to update hardware every so often for the best performance when the industry standards raise the bar. I suppose consoles are simple devices for simple people, I highly doubt they will ever understand the true problem unless the are in the loop with tech and not just a user.

That is true. With a simple swap of the hdd for a ssd can help bring in new life for even an old 1st gen ps4 like mine. What a large percentage of people don't understand is that technology is always improving. Sooner or later the high end device that a consumer will pay for will just become more and more obsolete as time progresses.
