next time do a better job bungie to create a fun and finished game , destiny1 didnt have to go free to play because people were willing to buy it because its fun,
Fun fact: destiny1 costs more on amazon than destiny2 , im wondering why? :D
once a previously paid game goes free to play its always a bad sign and a foreshadowing of huge microtransaction milkage of the remaining players and the newly baited ones who only come because its free

1 返信GalaxySpiderにより編集済み: 6/17/2019 1:13:57 PMNo, people shitted on D1, even in reviews and many just bought is because: - Bungie & Halo - no one really knew what to expect from it D1 had AT least as many problems as D2, just in different aspects. And they also needed 3 years to fix nearly all of them. Stop wearing rose tinted glasses... What was fun for players in D1, was a fail in many others eyes. D2 is exactly like that. D2 in its current state has flaws (which game doesn't), yet still beats D1 by miles in terms of overall support, content and updates, even if some peopel don't like the current way.

Well, OP is right with this part "its always a bad sign and a foreshadowing of huge microtransaction milkage of the remaining players and the newly baited ones who only come because its free" They can say "free to play" as much as they want, but if you want to have new stuff, youre going to pay A LOT! Expansions will cost money and Tess will be even bigger than she is right now. It will be hilarious seing the kids on here defend those 11 emotes, like they already do now. ^^

2 通の返信The 1st product consists of all D1 content. Buying each piece of content at launch would cost $160 The 2nd product is the forsaken digital collectors edition which cost $50 at launch I'm not entirely sure what your point is

Well they did say it was to expand outwards for other players to hop in and then they have the choice to buy the expansions if they so wish. In my opinion it's a step in the right direction as Bungie want people to know they care about this franchise and lets be real in the Vidocs and the E3 panel Luke and Mark definitely showed enthusiasm towards the community and the game. It's clear everyone at Bungie had to use PR Buzzwords and drive Activision's scummy plan's for the game's future, lets not forget when Luke told a journalist that "Player's would throw money at the screen if they saw the microtransactions". But that was the past and now is the present and I think we owe it to ourselves as fans of the series to be apart of Bungie's community and I know F2P sounds scary but I think the game will remain the same as always and perhaps become as instilled in people's memories like Destiny 1 before it.

PilksUKにより編集済み: 6/17/2019 12:22:23 PMFrom what I can see the price depends on platform but D1 is cheaper on amazon than D2 by a few quid. I do agree that a b2p game going f2p normally happens due to drop in sales and dwindling player base that shows no sign of growth which is D2... But Its not always a bad thing... Guild Wars 2 made their base game free to get more people to play the game for the same reason and it worked for them . Now lets look at fully f2p that was b2p before SWTOR this title actually has done very well in the f2p space and has around 1mil active daily users which is the same as D2 currently and thats only on the PC...So in fact thats doing better than D2 which has around the same amount of users spread across 3 platforms soon to be 4....so making D2 base game free makes perfect sense from a business point of view as they could in theory gain a huge amount of growth very quickly and that will hopefully turn into sales. I agree that more micro transactions will happen.. But the split from Activision made that inevitable...Bungie was the one who came up with eververse and chose the current microtransaction style for Destiny not Activision so not sure what people expected there...
