Can devs do everyone a favor and fix some issues in this game like what hasn't been fixed in 2 years. (The heavy ammo issue) is just one of many in every event in this game. Stop the throttling heavy ammo because it's annoying heavy ammo is not dropping in gambit or other events, causing gamers to push others out of the way to get the one on the walls that the same thing happens in PvP.
Bungie said back (before D2 released) that during the bata they would fix the heavy ammo drop rate issue. I mean it's 2 years later and throttling it is their only solution? even the gear that has the perk for heavy ammo works backward's starting up a forge. If you have heavy ammo starting up the forge it literally drops like candy. If you don't have heavy ammo even if you kill all the ads No heavy ammo drops. I mean, is that a prank, to have a perk work backward's?
I just can't believe something so small to fix "needs" to still be throttled 2 years later.
Edit: Here are some easy solutions.
1. Have Xur and other vendors sell them. I mean, if they can bring a lot of things back from D1 as they are especially with the moon coming back this should be really simple.
2. Fix the drop rate so it drops more often.
3. In events like Gambit put extra synths on the walls
4. PvP, make it so everyone can grab it like D1 or extra synths on the walls
There are other options but it would be nice if this was actually fixed instead of dealing with the headache of not getting heavy ammo to drop.

I agree with you... mostly. However, for Gambit, try putting on the Taken Armaments mod. Literally guarantees you heavy on every taken you kill, including blockers. Too much heavy ammo is actually becoming a problem in gambit, as a successful invasion and/or melt phase is dictated by who has more heavy ammo. So instead, buff drop rates a little bit but nerf heavy ammo weapons in gambit.

Also heavy ammo mods from the raids work in Gambit so that provides an immediate unfair advantage to those who have been lucky enough to get one from their runs as they can consistently generate Ammo versus a team where they do t and are reliant on wall packs or random drops. Juggler should never have been enabled, it should be a flat chance for Ammo to drop no matter what you are using. Even with Heavyweight on in Nightfall and Ammo finders I have had entire runs where maybe 1 or 2 bricks dropped - then very next run the floor being littered with bricks - how can this happen?

Its throttled on purpose for the same reason rocket launchers were neutered in D2, for the same reason most enemies either move out of the way in a blink or the tracking rocket inexplicably sails wide, for the same reason whisper was nerfed and the same reason Truth will be nerfed. In their effort to artificially increase difficulty bungie continues ignoring the fun factor.

Or how about they actually start working on bringing trials and faction rallies back which they recently unintentionally admitted in their interview with datto that they are still almost a year later contemplating the idea of fixing it by “looking at the foundations” as quoted.

Dude no more heavy ammo in pvp!!! Not cool man don't act like you speak for the vast majority of pvp players. Pvp players don't like heavy. As okay and braindead as it feels to shoot a heavy guns it feels 5xs worse to get constantly mowed down by heavy.... And better players always control the heavy
