I've been having issues with errors, lagging players and enemies in game. I've tried opening my NAT to type 1 open, but it only goes to moderate. I have "contacting destiny servers" error banners every few minutes and am frustrated that I cannot play fairly. I would like to know what I can do to make the game as smooth as possible on my end, including settings my NAT type to open and getting rid of errors and lagging players.
Has this been ongoing or more recent? I know I've been having a lot of issues myself since season of opulence started (lots of attempting to reconnect, baboon, etc.) booted to orbit or back to login multiple times. Thankfully, the worst of that was the first 2 days... it seems to have mostly settled down lately and haven't seen much of it in the last couple days comparatively speaking, nor was it a regular problem before the new season started. Might be due in part to heavy server traffic because of new season and raid hype I'm thinking, especially since it seemed to calm down a lot after world first was claimed, at least for me anyways...
f the servers are coming up not available, you probably have a corrupt cache on one of your devices (console/PC, router, modem). I would suggest doing the following
* Power down your console/PC, router and modem
* Unplug all three of them COMPLETELY from the wall outlet (console/PC, router, modem)
* Leave all of them unplugged for >3 minutes
* Plug in your modem, allow to sync for >2 minutes
* Plug in your router, allow to sync for >2 minutes
* Plug in your console/PC, boot up
* Go to the following website: http://pcm-intl.speedtestcustom.com/ - run the full test and save the link it gives you as a image for your test
* Get out of the test and attempt to run Destiny 2
If the above steps do not work, please post your results from your network test here.
